McCormick played just 5:35 TOI on Thursday and had no points while averaging 7:03 TOI in five games with the Senators. McCormick returns to Binghamton, where he has three goals and one assist in 13 games.
McCormick, 24, has picked up three goals in 10 games with Binghamton this season. He failed to record a point in his only game with Ottawa and has four points (2G / 2A) in 21 career NHL games. McCormick is skating with Matt Puempel and Chris Neil this morning because Mike Hoffman is not on the ice for the morning skate.
McCormick’s recall suggests that Mark Stone, who left Tuesday’s game, won’t be available for Thursday’s game vs. the Canucks. McCormick has one goal in six games with Binghamton this season and had four points (2G / 2A) in 20 games with the Senators last year.
McCormick has two goals and two assists in 18 games with the Senators this season and after playing with Binghamton during the All-Star break, McCormick is set to centre Ottawa’s fourth line on Tuesday.
McCormick had six shots and plus-1 rating in four games with the Senators. His return to the AHL suggests that the Senators are expecting Mike Hoffman to return to the lineup on Tuesday in Montreal.
McCormick, 23, was a 2011 sixth round pick (171st overall) and will make his NHL debut tonight vs. the Coyotes. McCormick had 20 points (10G / 10A) in 62 games in his first AHL season and had one goal in four games this season.
