Elliott played just 8:45 TOI on Wednesday but returns to Belleville, where he has one goal and three assists in eight games this season.

Elliott was recalled on Saturday but sat as a healthy scratch for the last two games. Elliott has one assist in two games with the Senators and four points (1G / 3A) in eight AHL games this season.

Elliott has picked up one goal and three assists in eight games with Belleville since being acquired from the Penguins. The 27-year-old has 25 points (8G / 17A) in 86 career NHL games.

Elliott was recently acquired via trade from Pittsburgh and has played three games with Belleville since. Overall, Elliott has two goals and seven assists (nine points) in 23 AHL games this season. The 27-year-old has 24 points (8G / 16A) in 84 career NHL games with the Avalanche, Coyotes and Predators.

Elliott appeared in two games with the Predators while Ryan Ellis (upper-body) was sidelined. Ellis skated the last two days and appears ready to return tonight, so Elliott returns to the AHL. The 25-year-old has six goals and 11 assists (17 points) in 29 games with the Admirals.

Elliott, who didn’t play on Friday has missed the Coyotes last two practices and could be in danger of missing Thursday’s game as well. Elliott has served a healthy scratch for the majority of the season.

There is no word why Elliott is suddenly in the lineup, but it will be his third game in a Coyotes’ uniform. He has no points, six shots and a minus-1 rating in the first two.

Elliott, 24, was acquired for Brandon Gormley earlier in the week and signed with the team yesterday. He had 19 goals and 21 assists (40 points) in 64 games with Lake Erie (AHL).

Elliott, 24, was the 49th overall pick in the 2009 NHL Draft. The right handed defensemen had no points in five games with Colorado last year, but registered 19 goals and 21 assists in 64 games with the Avs’ AHL affiliate in Lake Erie.

Elliott, 24, will make his season debut tonight vs. Detroit. Replacing Barrie in all situations means that Elliott will play on the Avs’ top-pair with Nate Guenin as well as power-play time, likely on the top-unit. Elliott has 18 points (6G / 12A) in 58 career NHL games. He has 12 goals and 14 assists (26 points) in 40 games with Lake Erie (AHL) this season.

Elliott has scored 14 goals with 14 assists (28 points) in 61 games with Lake Erie. He has been recalled because Tyson Barrie was injured on Friday.

Elliott has no points and is a minus-5 in seven games in Colorado this year.

Defenseman Tyson Barrie, 21, was expected to get the call-up, but he is nursing a minor hip injury. To make room for Elliott on the 23-man roster, fellow blue-liner Ryan Wilson was placed on injured reserve, retroactive March 14. Elliott previously played five games with the Avs this season, and struggled. He had no points and was minus-4.

Elliott didn't register a point and was a minus-4 in five games this season.

The youngster is still expected to play tonight. Elliott has four goals and 11 points in 33 games.
