Jurco has bounced around the NHL over the last few years and his latest stop will be in Vegas, or most likely Henderson (AHL). He only played in a combined 20 games last year, eight with Edmonton (NHL) and eight in Bakersfield (AHL). He had seven points (4G / 3A) in the AHL and will likely be a key contributor for the Silver Knights in 2021.
Jurco was gearing up to skate on a line with Connor McDavid in his Oilers debut, but won’t play due to an undisclosed medical procedure. With Jurco not on the ice, Edmonton shuffled their lines and Joakim Nygard took his spot next to Connor McDavid.

Jurco missed the start of the season with a back injury, but went to Grand Rapids for a two-game conditioning stint on the weekend and he picked up one goal and one assist. With Tyler Bertuzzi going on IR, Jurco has been recalled and could be in the lineup on Tuesday.
Jurco underwent offseason back surgery and will not be ready until November. The 23-year-old had just six points (4G / 2A) in 44 games last season and might find it difficult to find regular playing time on a packed Red Wings’ roster again this season.
