Dostal will start vs. Detroit on Friday.

The Ducks are off to a very strong 5-3-1 start to the season and will turn to Dostal between the pipes on Friday against the Detroit Red Wings. Dostal was excellent in his most recent outing, saving 31 of 33 shots (.939 SV%) in a 3-2 win over the Florida Panthers. Kreider (illness) returned to Anaheim's practice on Thursday and is expected to return on Friday vs. Detroit.

Kreider has missed the Ducks' last four games, recovering from an illness, but was back at practice on Thursday. Before his absence, the 34-year-old power forward was off to a strong start in his first season away from the New York Rangers, scoring five points (4G / 1A) in five games, including three goals scored on the powerplay.

The Ducks will hand Dostal his seventh start of the season when they travel to Florida on Tuesday. Dostal was tagged with the loss in his last outing, allowing four goals on 33 shots in a 4-3 loss to the Lightning on Saturday. The 25-year-old netminder carries a 2-3-1 record and .899 SV% into Tuesday's game, where the Ducks enter action at +160 on the money line.

The 20-year-old forward is entering his second professional season in San Diego after having three goals, 16 points and 19 PIMs in 61 GP last season.

Mrazek will start in Boston on Thursday.

The Ducks are off to a serviceable 3-2-1 start in the 2025-26 season and hope Mrazek can rebound in his second outing of the season. The 33-year-old Czech goalie had a forgetful performance in his only outing of the season, allowing six goals on 23 shots (.739 SV%), but managed to salvage a 7-6 overtime victory over the San Jose Sharks. The Ducks enter the action on Thursday as slight -100 road underdogs against a Bruins team amid a five-game losing skid.

Dostal will start in Nashville on Tuesday.

The Ducks will hand Dostal the reigns between the pipes for the fifth time this season when they head to Nashville to take on the Predators on Tuesday. Dostal was unfortunate not to secure a victory in his last start, allowing just two goals on 30 shots in a 2-1 overtime loss in Chicago on Sunday.
