Gudas will miss this week’s Friday-Saturday back-to-back and then next Tuesday’s game vs. the Islanders. He is eligible to play next Thursday in St. Louis. Expect Nick Schultz (upper-body) to play tomorrow if he is healthy.

Despite not winning consistently, Mrazek remains a great option tonight, at home vs. the Sabres—Mrazek is 2-1-3 with a 1.76 GAA and .938 SV% at Joe Louis Arena.
Mrazek allowed three goals on 22 shots in the Red Wings overtime loss to the Bruins on Wednesday. Mrazek has lost three of his last four while posting a 2.48 GAA and .915 SV%. This afternoon he will take on a Panthers team that has also lost three of four while being outscored 14-8.
Strome struggled with the Islanders at the start of the season, posting just one goal and four assists in 12 games. After being reassigned, he picked up two goals and two assists in eight games with Bridgeport. Strome will be in the Isles’ lineup on Friday.

Overall he is 6-4-1 with a 2.15 GAA and .935 SV% on the season, but tonight he faces the Bruins at home, where he is 2-1-1 with an impressive 1.43 GAA and .952 SV%.
Vatrano left last Thursday’s game vs. Minnesota and missed Saturday’s game, but will be a game-time decision on Monday in Toronto. Vatrano has one goal and 19 shots in six games this season.

Vatrano left Thursday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return. The rookie winger has had one goal and 19 shots in six games, but is listed as day-to-day and is doubtful to play on Saturday. Expect the Bruins to recall a forward on Saturday morning.

It was another strong outing for Mrazek, but he is getting all too familiar with seeing his mates struggle offensively. Tonight he will make his 11th start of the season and he comes in with a 5-4-1 record, 2.16 GAA and .934 SV%. He has a tough task on Friday with the Kings in town—they’ve won three in a row and sit 12-6-0 on the year.
