Mrazek will start Thursday vs. the Canadiens.

Mrazek allowed four goals on 32 shots in the Red Wings overtime win against the Predators on Saturday. Mrazek has won two in a row despite allowing a combined eight goals on 64 shots (.875 SV%). The Red Wings had a lack of offence to start the season, but are now averaging 3.56 goals per game in their last nine games. The return of their offence and Montreal being on a back-to-back make Mrazek a solid start tonight.

Stalock gets the nod Saturday vs. the Lightning.

Stalock allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Sharks win over the Blue Jackets on November 22nd. Stalock has gone 2-3-0 with a 2.88 GAA and .896 SV% in four starts and two relief appearances this season. He doesn’t start often, but he will go tonight vs. the visiting Lightning. Tampa Bay comes in averaging 2.29 goals per game over their last seven.

Mrazek allowed four goals on 32 shots in the Red Wings shootout win over the Sabres on Tuesday. Jimmy Howard get the call on Thursday, but will go to Mrazek tonight vs. the Predators. Mrazek has gone 3-1-3 with a 2.04 GAA and .929 SV% in seven starts on home is ice this season. He should make for a solid start against a Nashville team that is struggling offensively.

The NHL has suspended Radko Gudas for three games for his hit on Mika Zibanejad on Tuesday.

Gudas will miss this week’s Friday-Saturday back-to-back and then next Tuesday’s game vs. the Islanders. He is eligible to play next Thursday in St. Louis. Expect Nick Schultz (upper-body) to play tomorrow if he is healthy.

Mrazek allowed two goals on 32 shots in the Red Wings’ 2-1 OT loss to the Panthers on Sunday. Mrazek was excellent again on Sunday, but the Red Wings lack of offence led to Mrazek’s third overtime loss in his last four starts. Despite not winning consistently, Mrazek remains a great option tonight, at home vs. the Sabres—Mrazek is 2-1-3 with a 1.76 GAA and .938 SV% at Joe Louis Arena.

Mrazek will start on Sunday vs. the Panthers.

Mrazek allowed three goals on 22 shots in the Red Wings overtime loss to the Bruins on Wednesday. Mrazek has lost three of his last four while posting a 2.48 GAA and .915 SV%. This afternoon he will take on a Panthers team that has also lost three of four while being outscored 14-8.

The Islanders have recalled Ryan Strome from Bridgeport (AHL).

Strome struggled with the Islanders at the start of the season, posting just one goal and four assists in 12 games. After being reassigned, he picked up two goals and two assists in eight games with Bridgeport. Strome will be in the Isles’ lineup on Friday.

Mrazek will start Wednesday vs. the Bruins.

Mrazek gave up two goals on 37 shots in the Red Wings win over the Kings last Friday. The win snapped a short two-game losing skid for Mrazek, who continues to play extremely well this season. Overall he is 6-4-1 with a 2.15 GAA and .935 SV% on the season, but tonight he faces the Bruins at home, where he is 2-1-1 with an impressive 1.43 GAA and .952 SV%.

Stalock will start Sunday vs. the Blue Jackets.

Stalock allowed on goal on 21 shots in the Sharks loss to the Islanders on November 10th. Stalock has just one win in five appearances this season. He comes into play on Sunday with a 2.85 GAA and .894 SV% this season. He will take on a Blue Jackets team that has won four of their last five contests.

Vatrano (upper-body) left Thursday's game and did not return.

Vatrano left Thursday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return. The rookie winger has had one goal and 19 shots in six games, but is listed as day-to-day and is doubtful to play on Saturday. Expect the Bruins to recall a forward on Saturday morning.

Mrazek will be in goal on Friday vs. the Kings.

Mrazek stopped 25 of 27 shots in the Red Wings’ OT loss to the Capitals on Wednesday. It was another strong outing for Mrazek, but he is getting all too familiar with seeing his mates struggle offensively. Tonight he will make his 11th start of the season and he comes in with a 5-4-1 record, 2.16 GAA and .934 SV%. He has a tough task on Friday with the Kings in town—they’ve won three in a row and sit 12-6-0 on the year.
