The Oilers have signed Zack Kassian to a three-year extension worth $5.85M ($1.95M AAV).

It seems like forever ago that Kassian was selected No.13 overall and after a few tough seasons and stops in Buffalo, Vancouver and Montreal, Kassian seems to have found a home in Edmonton. In his second season with the Oilers, the power-forward had 23 points (7G / 17A) in 79 games and added three more goals in 13 playoff games.

Galchenyuk (knee) will return to the Canadiens' lineup on Thursday.

Galchenyuk has missed the last three games with a knee injury, but will return to the Canadiens’ lineup on Thursday. After returning from his previous knee injury, Galchenyuk registered two goals and two assist in five games before getting hurt again. Galchenyuk skated David Desharnais and Andrew Shaw on Wednesday.

Ladd (upper-body) will return to the Islanders’ lineup on Tuesday.

Ladd has missed the last four games with an upper-body injury, but will draw in for Anthony Beauvillier tonight. Ladd has had a tough debut season in Brooklyn—he comes into Tuesday with eight goals and four assists (12 points)in 41 games this season.

Galchenyuk (knee) will not play on Tuesday.

Galchenyuk previously missed 18 games with a knee injury and has reportedly re-aggravated it and will not play on Tuesday. The injury is believed to have occurred on Saturday vs. the Sabres and the Canadiens are calling it a “minor injury” to the same knee. Head coach Michel Therrien added that Galchenyuk did not come back too soon and is day-to-day.

The Coyotes have reassigned Laurent Dauphin to Tucson (AHL).

Dauphin appeared in four games and was a healthy scratch for two during this call-up. Overall, he has two goals and one assist in 24 games with the Coyotes this season. The 21-year-old will go back to Tucson, where he has collected 11 points (5G / 6A) in 11 games this season.

The Coyotes have recalled Laurent Dauphin from Tucson (AHL).

Dauphin, 21, has two goals and one assist in 20 games with the Coyotes this season. He has also logged 11 points (5G / 6A) in 10 games with the Roadrunners and could get back in the Coyotes’ lineup tonight with Jordan Martinook and Martin Hanzal getting hurt in last night’s game.

Galchenyuk is out indefinitely with a lower-body injury.

Galchenyuk was hurt during Sunday’s shootout win in Los Angeles, but traveled to St. Louis with the team. After undergoing some testing in St. Louis, Galchenyuk will return to Montreal to undergo further testing. Expect a more definitive timetable to be revealed later this week. In the meantime, Andrew Shaw will likely shift to centre for Tuesday’s game.

Little (lower-body) will return to the Jets lineup on Tuesday.

Little has been sidelined since the season opener, but will get back into the lineup tonight vs. the Devils. Little will centre the Jets’ second line with Blake Wheeler and Drew Stafford on his wings. He is worth a pickup if he made it to waivers in standard leagues.
