Little has been out since the season opener, missing the last 23 games with a lower-body injury. On Monday, Little skated on a line with with Blake Wheeler and Drew Stafford and is also expected to skate on the second power-play unit. Kassian has missed the last three games with an undisclosed injury, but he was back at practice on Saturday and is expected to play Sunday vs. the Rangers. Kassian has two goals and two assists (four points) in 12 games so far this season.
Little was injured in the season opener and is not expected to be in the lineup in November. With Little moved to IR, the Jets have recalled Marko Dano from Manitoba (AHL).
Nemeth was in the lineup for the Stars’ first two games of the year, but will be scratched on Tuesday to allowed Esa Lindell to make his season debut. Nemeth has no points, a plus-1 rating and two penalty minutes so far this season.
Little suffered the injury in the first period of the Jets' season opener on Thursday and will be out long-term. This is a tough break for the Jets' second line centre, who has missed 37 games over the last two years and finished last season on IR. Alex Burmistrov is expected to draw into the lineup for Little after serving as a healthy scratch yesterday. This will also elevate Mathieu Perreault to the second line.
Little played just 2:48 in the first period before exiting the game with a lower-body injury. Little missed 25 games last year and a total of 37 games over the previous two seasons, so injuries are nothing new for the 28-year-old centre. After the game head coach Paul Maurice did not have an update on Little’s condition, so consider him day-to-day until more information is available.
After spending five and a half years with the Winnipeg Jets, he had a reunion with the Blackhawks after being acquired at the Trade Deadline, but he wasn’t enough to propel them to another Stanley Cup. He had 12 points (8G / 4A) in 19 games with Chicago and 25 goals, 21 assists (46 points) in 78 games overall. Ladd will fill the hole left by Kyle Okposo’s departure to Buffalo and should find himself playing alongside John Tavares in 2016-17.
Ladd was absent from Monday’s practice, but head coach Joel Quenneville said that Ladd is fine. Ladd has registered eight goals and four assists (12 points) in 19 games since being acquired from the Jets.
Galchenyuk came into Tuesday as questionable, but he will be in the lineup tonight vs. the Stars. Galchenyuk comes in on a hot streak, picking up seven goals in his last six games. Look for Galchenyuk to centre the top line with Max Pacioretty and Sven Andrighetto on his wings.
Ladd, 30, was with the Blackhawks from 2008-2010, winning a Stanley Cup in 2010. He has spent the last five in a half seasons with the Jets, where he averaged 27 goals and 32 assists (59 points) per 82 games and had 34 points (17G / 17A) in 59 games this season. He will play on the Blackhawks’ top line with Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa (when he returns from injury).
Little is expected to be out for eight weeks after suffering a vertebrae fracture. With just over six weeks left in the regular season, Little will be shut down but is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the 2016-17 season.
Little missed Saturday’s game in Florida, but could play Tuesday vs. the Stars. He is expected to take part in the morning skate and will be evaluated when it’s over. If he feels good enough to play, he will be in the lineup.
Little left after being hit by Anton Stralman and was unable to return. Jets’ head coach Paul Maurice indicated in a postgame interview that Little will undergo an x-ray on his neck.
Kassian will miss a second straight game with an illness, which means Anton Lander will remain in the lineup. Kassian is day-to-day and is expected to be back in the lineup on Saturday.
Kassian had one goal and one assist in six games with the Oilers before the All-Star break. He went down for the break and has now collected three points (2G / 1A) in seven games with Bakersfield.
Little missed the morning skate and has been listed as a game-time decision tonight. The Jets don’t get underway until 8 p.m. so there could be an update on his status at 6 p.m. or not until warmups at 7:30 p.m. He is a risky option as a daily option.
