Jeffrey Viel will make his season debut Tuesday vs. Montreal.

Viel will make his Sharks' season debut Tuesday and add some muscle to the lineup as he currently ranks second in the AHL with 65 PIMs through just 18 games played with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL). The 25-year-old has played in 45 career NHL games played and has three goals, two assists and 137 PIMs.

Trent Frederic will return to the Bruins' lineup Tuesday vs. Tampa Bay (upper body).

Frederic has missed the Bruins' last two games due to an upper-body injury but will be back in the lineup Tuesday as Boston takes on Tampa Bay. The 24-year-old has three goals and three assists with a +9 plus/minus rating and 16 PIMs across a bottom-six role and 18 games played.

Anton Stralman will draw back into Boston's lineup Friday vs. Carolina.

Stralman will be in the Bruins' lineup Friday as he takes the spot of Jakub Zboril. The veteran defenseman is currently sitting on 937 career games played after the seven games and zero points he has so far in 2022-23. He will be looking to grab his first point of the season and improve on his -3 plus/minus rating.

Joonas Korpisalo will start vs. the New York Islanders.

Korpisalo stopped 26 of 28 shots (.929 SV%) in a win over Montreal his last time out. The 28-year-old has been mediocre by definition with his 3-3-1 record, his .901 SV% and 3.86 GAA. He will take on the New York Islanders who have won two straight and four out of their last six games.

Korpisalo stopped 26 of 28 shots (.929 SV%) in a win over Montreal his last time out. The 28-year-old has been mediocre by definition with his 3-3-1 record, his .901 SV% and 3.86 GAA. He will take on the New York Islanders who have won two straight and four out of their last six games.

Frederic was a game-time decision but will not play vs. Florida. Craig Smith will work his way back into Boston's lineup. The 24-year-old had three goals and three assists with a +9 plus/minus rating and 16 PIMs across a bottom-six role and 18 games played.

Swayman was not busy but stopped 17 of 18 shots (.944 SV%) in a win over Chicago in his previous start. The Bruins' backup has struggled this season with a .890 SV%, 2.82 GAA and 3-1-0 record. He will take on the Florida Panthers who have lost four of their last five games after dropping their last game to Columbus 5-3.

Joonas Korpisalo will start Wednesday vs. Montreal.

Korpisalo allowed six goals on 37 shots (.838 SV%) in his worst start of the season his last time out in a loss vs. Detroit. The 28-year-old has struggled in limited action this season posting a 3-2-1 record with a 4.16 GAA and .897 SV%. He takes on Montreal who is on the second half of a back-to-back after losing to Buffalo 7-2 Tuesday.

Frederic (upper-body) is questionable to play Wednesday.

Frederic suffered an upper-body injury in Monday's win over the Lightning and is questionable to play Wednesday. Frederic missed Tuesday's practice, which isn't a good sign for his availability. Craig Smith will draw into the lineup if Frederic is unable to play.

Ian Mitchell will make his season debut Saturday vs. the Bruins.

Mitchell has been recalled from Rockford (AHL) after a sensational three-game start to his minor league season which saw him pick up two goals and five points in his first three games with Rockford. He will head back to the NHL where he has 47 games previously played, picking up three goals and eight points during his previous two big league stints.

Jeremy Swayman will likely start Saturday vs. Chicago.

Swayman has not played since Nov.1st after leaving after four saves in 14:06 played due to a lower-body injury. He struggled prior to the injury, posting a 2-1-0 record with a 3.45 GAA and .878 SV%. He faces off against the struggling Chicago Blackhawks who lost 5-2 their last time out and have lost four of their last five games.

Ian Mitchell has been called up from the Rockford IceHogs (AHL).

Mitchell has been recalled from Rockford (AHL) after a sensational three-game start to his minor league season which saw him pick up two goals and five points in his first three games with Rockford. Patrick Brown has been recalled from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (AHL) after he was assigned there for a rehab stint just recently. The 30-year-old has 12 points (6G/6A) through 77 career NHL games played prior to his debut Thursday.

Korpisalo will start Thursday vs. the Canadiens.

Korpisalo stopped 18 of 20 shots (.900 SV%) in a win over Philadelphia in his previous start. Korpisalo will be taking the bulk of the Blue Jackets' starts after Elvis Merzlinkins was placed on injured reserve Thursday. He holds a 2-1-1 record with a 3.70 GAA and .910 SV%. He takes on the Montreal Canadiens who just snapped a three-game winning streak with a 5-1 loss their last time out to New Jersey.
