Ennis is set to become an unrestricted free-agent on July 1st after signing a one-year deal with the Senators in the off-season. He’s managed to rack up 14 goals and 19 assists in 61 games this year despite playing just 14:42 a game. Ennis is another productive addition to Edmonton’s top-nine as they continue to strengthen their depth up front.
Clifton skated in two games with Providence this weekend but returns to the Bruins where he has just two goals in 30 games this season.
Reimer left Saturday's game with a lower-body injury and did not return. He was replaced by Petr Mrazek, who also got hurt. That left the Hurricanes to turn to 42-year-old Zamboni driver David Ayres for the final period and a half. Head coach Rod Brind'Amour told reporters postgame that Reimer will be out a while, so look for Alex Nedeljkovic to be recalled from Charlotte (AHL).
Zucker, who was acquired from the Wild on Monday night, will make his debut on the Penguins' top line with Sidney Crosby. Zucker, who has scored 14 goals with 15 assists in 45 games this season, brings a ton of energy and skill to Crosby's wing, a spot where many have posted career years.
Zucker has scored 14 goals with 15 assists (29 points) in 45 games with the Wild this season. Zucker, who is a one-time 30-goal scorer, will get a huge fantasy boost because he will likely slot in the top-6 with Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin. After this year, Zucker has three years left with a $5.5M cap-hit (per PuckPedia).
Pilut was assigned to the AHL yesterday morning after being a healthy scratch on Friday and suited up for the Americans but returns to the AHL where he will likely be scratched for the second game in a row. It seems unlikely the Sabres would have him play in Toronto at 7 pm then again in Buffalo at 3 pm today.
With Rasmus Dahlin returning to the lineup, Pilut will be the defenseman that sits in New York. The rookie defenseman has not registered a point while playing 16:39 ATOI in 10 games this season.
Dahlin missed the last two games with an upper-body injury but will play tonight in New York. Dahlin has posted nine points (1G / 8A) in his last 10 games.
Bishop gave up four goals on 41 shots in the Stars loss to the Islanders on Tuesday. Bishop has stumbled a bit recently, going 2-2-1 with a 3.02 GAA and .897 SV% in his last six outings (five starts). Still, the Stars remain one of the best defensive teams in hockey, making Bishop a quality option almost every night. He's had a tough time with the Wild this year though, giving up seven goals on 54 shots (.870 SV%).
