Andersen allowed two goals on 36 shots in the Maple Leafs win in Nashville on Monday. It was a fantastic outing for Andersen, who had been struggling in the month of January. The win moved him to 13-4-0 with a 2.49 GAA, .923 SV% and one shutout on the road this year. He gets set to face a Stars team that has won four of their last five home games while scoring 3.00 goals per game.

Andersen allowed six goals on 34 shots in the Maple Leafs loss to the Blackhawks on January 18th. Andersen struggled mightily heading into their bye week, going 1-1-2 with a 4.35 GAA and .864 SV% in his last six starts. Andersen has lost three in a row while giving up a combined 10 goals on 59 shots (.831 SV%). In his last nine starts, Andersen has given up at least three goals eight times. He is 5-0-2 with a 4.00 GAA and .883 SV% over that stretch.


Gostisbehere was hurt late in Wednesday's game in Carolina and missed Thursday's game vs. the Capitals. The third-pairing defenseman is scheduled to undergo surgery next Tuesday and will keep him sidelined until late-January/early-February.

Andersen received a rare night-off vs. the Islanders on Saturday night but will be back between the pipes tonight vs. the Oilers. Andersen has gone 6-0-1 with a 3.14 GAA and .909 SV% in his last seven starts. Tonight he faces an Oilers team that has lost three of their last four road games (1-2-1) while scoring just 2.25 goals per game.

Reilly will replace Erik Brannstrom, who was sent to the AHL on Friday. Reilly has posted four assists in 14 games this season and has 41 points (7G / 34A) in 174 carer NHL games.

The Senators blueline is extremely banged up, missing three veterans (Dylan DeMelo, Ron Hainsey and Nikita Zaitsev) so Reilly will likely get playing time over Christian Jaros or Andreas Englund. The 26-year-old has only appeared in 14 games this season, picking up four assists. His contract carries a $1.5M AAV cap-hit and expires at the end of 2021.

Andersen is 5-0-1 despite posting a 3.17 GAA and .902 SV% in his last six starts thanks to his teammates averaging 5.17 goals per game in front of him. Tonight he takes on a Jets team that has lost four in a row one home-ice, averring 2.50 goals per game.


Smith was held pointless in five games with the Red Wings earlier in the year but has 13 points (4G / 9A) and 59 PIMS in 22 AHL games with Grand Rapids. With Valtteri Filppula out, Smith could draw into the lineup on Saturday.

Under Sheldon Keefe the Maple Leafs are scoring 4.06 goals per game, so there will be plenty of goal-support for Andersen, but his splits could continue to take a hit.

Kotkaniemi has missed the last eight games with a concussion but will play Saturday in Tampa Bay. Kotkaniemi will replace Joel Armia, who is now week-to-week with an upper-body ailment. Kotkaniemi has scored just three goals and two assists (five points) in 22 games this season.
