Andersen leads the Ducks onto the ice for warmups.

Andersen allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Ducks 3-2 shootout loss to the Coyotes on Friday. It was just Andersen’s second loss of the season, but it was another steady outing for the 25-year-old. He will take on the Canucks at home, where he is 3-1-1 with a 1.58 GAA and .943 SV%.

Andersen wil be back in the Ducks goal tonight.

Andersen allowed a single goal on 22 shots in the Ducks win over the Stars last Friday. Andersen missed the last two games with leg tightness, but will be back between the pipes tonight vs. Arizona. He is a must-start vs. a struggling Coyotes team at home where he is 3-1-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .948 SV%.

Frederik Andersen
Stepan (leg) will make his season debut on Saturday.

Stepan has missed the first 12 games of the season with a fractured fibula that he suffered in the preseason. He skated on the Rangers second line with Mats Zuccarello and Chris Kreider this morning, so expect that to be where he is at tomorrow. He had 57 points (17G / 40A) in 82 games last season. He had never missed a game in his NHL career prior to this injury, so expect him to play 70 games and potentially get back to 50 points again.

Derek Stepan
Stastny (shoulder) will return to the Blues lineup on Thursday.

Stastny has missed the last eight games with a shoulder injury, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Devils. He will skate between Alex Steen and Joakim Lindstrom to start tonight. He has one goal and three assists in four games this season.

Paul Stastny
Andersen will be a game-time decision tonight.

Andersen missed Sunday’s game with ‘minor leg tightness’ but was on the ice for the game day skate this afternoon. He was the first on off of the ice and told the media after practice that his leg feels good but he “needs to see how I feel before tonight’s game”. So if Andersen’s leg is OK, he is your starter, if not, it will be Jason LaBarbera.

Andersen was the first goalie off of the ice for the Ducks.

Andersen was unavailable on Sunday because of minor leg tightness, but he was back on the ice this morning for the game day skate. While he was the first one off, Jason LaBarbera followed him about a minute later. This suggests that Andersen will get the call if his leg is good to go, but they did not want to keep LaBarbera on for extra work incase Andresen is unable to go. Stay tuned.

Andersen is day-to-day with minor leg tightness.

Andersen did not suit up for Sunday's game due to leg tightness, but he was on the ice with the Ducks this afternoon. The Ducks recalled Igor Bobkov and have Jason LaBarbera still on the team so that suggests that Andersen might not be ready to play on Wednesday vs. the Islanders. Monitor his status during tomorrow's morning skate.

Frederik Andersen
Stepan (leg) is doubtful to play on Wednesday.

Head coach Alain Vigneault said that the chances of Stepan returning to the lineup tomorrow are "very slim." After Wednesday, the Rangers are off until Saturday, so they will likely give him the extra three days. Saturday seems like a much more reasonable return date.

Derek Stepan
Stastny (shoulder) has been cleared for contact; could play later this week.

Stastny will miss his seventh straight game tonight and will likely miss his eighth tomorrow, but getting in a couple contact practices over the next few days could have him back in the lineup on Thursday vs. New Jersey or Saturday against the Predators.

Paul Stastny
Stepan (leg) is on the ice with a regular jersey this morning.

Stepan has shed his no-contact jersey which means he is probably cleared for contact, which is a big step in the right direction. The Rangers announced last week that he remained without a timetable, but Ryan Malone was placed on waivers on Sunday, which suggests that Stepan is getting close---being cleared for contact confirms that.

Derek Stepan
Andersen did not participate in optional morning skate; suggesting he will start Sunday.

Andersen stopped 21 of 22 shots in the Ducks 2-1 OT win over the Stars on Friday. He improved to 7-1-0 with a 1.60 GAA and .941 SV% on the season. John Gibson has played well since being recalled, but it looks like the Ducks are set to roll with Andersen as their number-1.

Frederik Andersen
Andersen will be back in goal for the Ducks.

Andersen allowed four goals on 37 shots in a loss to the Sharks on Sunday. It was Andersen's first loss of the year---he now holds a 6-1-0 record with a 1.70 GAA and .940 SV% in seven outings. He draws a fairly tough matchup vs. a hot Stars top-line. However, he has proved he needs to be started right now.
