Khudobin gave up three goals on 29 shots in the Stars loss in St. Louis on Saturday. With Ben Bishop day-to-day with a lower-body injury, Khudobin will make his 25th start of the season tonight. He has been excellent in his last seven starts, going 5-0-2 with a 2.07 GAA and .934 SV%. He draws a tough matchup tonight vs. an Oilers team that is getting healthy and is coming off of an 8-goal performance last night in Nashville.

Shaw (concussion) will miss the remainder of the 2020 season.

Shaw has been out since November 30th and will miss the final 18 games of the season with lingering concussion issues. Missing such a lengthy period of time with a concussion is obviously not a good sign and hopefully, Shaw will be ready to return to the NHL at the start of the 2021 campaign.

The Oilers have acquired Andreas Athanasiou and Ryan Kuffner from the Red Wings for Sam Gagner, a 2020 second-round pick and a 2021 second-round pick.

Athanasiou has had a disappointing 2019-20 season after his 30-goal breakout campaign a year ago. The 25-year-old has just ten goals and 24 assists in 46 games this season, but don’t be surprised if the change of scenery reignites his production. After spending most of the season on the wing of Valtteri Filppula, Athanasiou will now almost certainly get a shot at playing alongside Connor McDavid. He is set to become a restricted free agent on July 1st.
