Khudobin stopped 37 of 38 shots in the Stars win in Nashville last Saturday. Ben Bishop has started five of the last six games but Khudobin will start the front-end of the back-to-back tonight in Tampa Bay. The 33-year-old has gone 4-4-1 with a 2.56 GAA and .924 SV% in nine road appearances this season but will be in tough vs. a Tampa Bay team that has won three of their last four.

Mrazek allowed one goal on 26 shots in the Hurricanes loss in Vancouver last Thursday. James Reimer started Saturday in Calgary but look for Mrazek to face the Jets on Tuesday. He has won 3-3-2 with a 2.94 GAA, .900 SV% and one shutout on the road this season, so this isn't the best matchup for the 27-year-old.

Sanford missed the last three games with an upper-body injury but will play Monday vs. Colorado. Sanford, who will replace Ivan Barbashev (upper-body), will skate with Ryan O'Reilly and David Perron on the second line. He has 10 points (3G / 7A) in 26 games this season.

Khudobin allowed five goals on 30 shots in the Stars loss in Winnipeg on December 3rd. Khudobin has lost two straight and is 3-4-1 with a 2.77 GAA and .917 SV% on the road this year and gets set to face a Predators team that is on a five-game point streak (3-0-2) on home-ice.

Athanasiou missed the last two games with an undisclosed injury but will play in Montreal. Athanasiou has had a difficult season, posting just 15 points (5G / 10A) in 29 games and has a league-worst minus-33 rating.

Mrazek gave up two goals on 24 shots in the Hurricanes win over the Wild last Saturday. James Reimer started Tuesday in Edmonton but it looks like Mrazek will start Thursday in Vancouver. He's won two straight and is 3-3-1 with a 3.24 GAA and .891 SV% on the road this year, so he's not a great option against a quality Canucks offence.

Athanasiou missed Tuesday's game in Winnipeg but was on the ice for Thursday's morning skate and called himself "iffy" for tonight's game vs. the Jets. Athanasiou skated in Dylan Larkin's spot on the Red Wings' top-line.

Sanford was injured Saturday against the Maple Leafs and is "just day-to-day right now, so we'll see how he is tomorrow" head coach Craig Berube told reporters. Austin Poganski was recalled from San Antonio (AHL) and will make his NHL debut in Sanford's place.

There's no word what kind of injury that Athanasiou is dealing with, but he won't play Tuesday in Winnipeg, which means Filip Zadina could be in the top-6. Monitor Athanasiou's status heading into Thursday's home game.

Brossoit allowed two goals on 34 shots in the Jets loss in Los Angeles on November 30th. The Jets have a home-and-home with the NHL's worst team on Tuesday/Thursday so they will use this opportunity to get both goalies a start--with Brossoit going on home-ice and Connor Hellebuyck starting in his home state. The 26-year-old has gone 3-3-0 with a 3.65 GAA and .885 SV% on the season but is a solid spot-start option vs. a Red Wings team that has lost 11 in a row.

Shaw is out indefinitely with a concussion so his move to LTIR opens up a roster spot and gives the Blackhawks some cap relief to call-up Adam Boqvist and Matthew Highmore.

Mrazek stopped 28 of 30 shots in the Hurricanes win over the Sharks on Thursday. James Reimer has been getting more action as of late but Mrazek will start his second straight game and comes in at 9-3-0 with a 2.31 GAA, .910 SV% and one shutout on home ice. The Wild are heating up but Mrazek is always a solid option in Carolina.

Shaw is set to miss his third straight game with a concussion on Friday. Shaw's move to IR is retroactive to November 30th, so he's eligible to be activated whenever he is back to 100 percent.
