Kero had been a healthy scratch for the last three games and was waived in order to open up a roster spot for Jacob Peterson. Kero has two assists in seven games this season.
Capobianco (lower-body) will make his season debut on Friday.
Capobianco missed the first 13 games of the season with a lower-body injury but will replace Cam Dineen in the lineup on Friday. Capobianco has one goal in 14 career NHL games with the Coyotes.
