DeSmith will start Monday in New York.

DeSmith gave up four goals on 34 shots in the Penguins' win in New York on Saturday. DeSmith has won three straight starts despite allowing a combined 11 goals on 83 shots (.868 SV%). He'll be in tough on Monday with another matchup vs. the Rangers. New York's offence is starting to wake up, scoring 3.14 goals per game in their last seven games.

The Wild have placed Matt Dumba (lower-body) on IR.

Dumba missed Sunday's rematch vs. the Avalanche and was placed on IR on Monday. Dumba is expected to miss an extended period of time, so this move frees up a roster spot for the Wild to recall some reinforcements from the taxi squad.

Blackwell is expected to miss at least one week with an upper-body injury.

Blackwell played just 2:53 in the Rangers game vs. the Penguins on Saturday and will miss 7-10 days with an upper-body injury. With Blackwell coming out of the lineup on Monday, look for Julien Gauthier to draw back in.

Colin Blackwell
Benn (lower-body) will be a game-time decision on Saturday.

Benn has been out since the Stars' season opener but will be one of three game-time decisions for Saturday's game in Carolina. The Stars are hopeful that at least two of Benn, Roope Hintz and/or Blake Comeau can play tonight, so there's a chance that Benn plays.

DeSmith will start Saturday in New York.

DeSmith allowed four goals on 26 shots in the Penguins win over the Capitals last Tuesday. Tristan Jarry started the last four games but DeSmith will make his third start Saturday in New York. He's won his first two starts despite allowing seven goals on 49 shots (.857 SV%). The Rangers enter play having lost four of their last five, included two in a row to the Penguins last weekend.

Oettinger will start Thursday vs. the Red Wings.

Oettinger will make his first career NHL start on Thursday. With Ben Bishop out long-term, Oettinger will get a few starts behind Anton Khudobin this season. The 22-year-old netminder was 15-16-4 with a 2.57 GAA and .917 SV% in the AHL last season. The former first-round pick has a strong pedigree and makes for a solid spot-start option against an injury riddled and bad Red Wings team.

Benn (lower-body) is questionable to play Sunday vs. the Predators.

Benn was forced to leave Friday's season-opening win over the Predators with a lower-body injury and missed Saturday's practice. Jason Dickinson is expected to replace Benn on the Stars' top line if he can't go in Sunday's rematch.
