Tarasenko missed the last two games with an illness but will play Thursday vs. the Flyers. With the second line playing well in his absence, he'll start on the "third" line with Robert Thomas and Ivan Barbashev.

Motte will make his Rangers debut on Tuesday.
Motte was acquired from the Canucks on Monday and will start on the Rangers' fourth line with Barclay Goodrow and Ryan Reaves. Motte is a tenacious penalty killer and has tallied 15 points (7G / 8A) in 49 games this season.
Tarasenko (illness) did not travel to Washington for Tuesday's game.
Tarasenko will miss his second straight game with an illness but could join the team in Buffalo for Friday's game. The Blues will also be without Robert Thomas (upper-body), so the Blues may need to go with 11 forwards and seven defensemen.
The Rangers acquired Andrew Copp and a 2023 sixth-round pick from the Jets for Morgan Barron, two conditional second-round draft picks and a 2023 fifth-round draft pick.

Copp missed Tuesday's game vs. the Golden Knights but will play Friday vs. the Bruins. Copp, who has scored 13 goals with 19 assists (32 points) in 54 games this season, will be back on the third line with Adam Lowry and Evgeny Svechnikov.
The Panthers have acquired Ben Chiarot from the Canadiens for Ty Smilanic, a 2023 1st Round Pick and a 2022 4th Round Pick.
The Canadiens will retain 50% of Chiarot's salary for the remainder of the 2021-22 season. Chiarot was in his third season with the Canadiens and has scored seven goals with 11 assists (18 points) in 54 games this season. He's in the final year of a three-year deal with a $3.5M AAV cap-hit and will be a UFA this summer.
The Capitals have signed Joe Snively to a two-year contract extension worth $1.6 million ($800K AAV).
The 26-year-old forward was an undrafted free agent out of Yale University and made it to the NHL this year after two and a half AHL seasons. Snively has four goals and three assists (seven points) in 12 games with the Capitals this season.
The Red Wings have signed Cross Hanas to a three-year, entry-level contract.
The Red Wings selected Hanas in the second-round in the 2020 NHL Draft and the 20-year-old is leading the Portland Winterhawks (WHL) with 70 points (22G / 48A) in 53 games this season.
