Kane (undisclosed) is questionable to play on Thursday.

Kane has missed the last two games with an undisclosed injury and remains questionable to play Thursday despite skating on Wednesday. Kane did skate with Tomas Hertl and Gustav Nyqust in practice, which suggests there’s a chance that he plays vs. the Canadiens.

Demers (knee) will be a game-time decision on Tuesday.

Demers has been sidelined since November 15th but appears to be close to returning to the Coyotes blueline. Demers has just one goal and two assists in 18 games this season, so he should remain on the waiver wire in the final week of the fantasy hockey regular season.

The Blackhawks have assigned Collin Delia to Rockford (AHL).

Delia played well during his time with the Blackhawks, going 6-4-3 with a 3.48 GAA and .909 SV% but returns to the AHL with Corey Crawford being activated from IR. Delia has gone 7-5-4 with a 2.34 GAA and .933 SV% with Rockford this season.

The Devils have acquired Connor Carrick and a 2019 third-round pick from the Stars for Ben Lovejoy.

Carrick has not played much this season but could get a chance in New Jersey. The 24-year-old, right-shot defenseman has one goal and three assists in 14 games this season, adding 16 shots, five hits and 11 blocked shots to his line as well. He should replace Lovejoy and see some time on the Devils third-pair.

Delia led the Blackhawks onto the ice for warmups.

Delia was pulled after he allowed three goals on 10 shots in the Blackhawks crazy 8-7 win over the Senators on Monday. Delia played really well for a while but has struggled a lot recently, allowing at least three goals in six straight appearances—allowing a combined 23 goals on 192 shots (.880 SV%). On the plus side, Delia is 2-0-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .956 SV% in two games vs. the Avalanche this year.

Smith will start Friday vs. the Ducks.

Smith allowed two goals on 19 shots in the Flames win over the Islanders on Wednesday. Smith will make his fifth straight start, having won three in a row while making 78 saves on 86 shots (.907 SV%). Smith continues to play well and makes for a solid option against a Ducks team that ranks last in the NHL in goal-scoring (2.23 GF/pg).
