This is a huge blow for the Kings, who are currently third in the Pacific Division and trending towards a playoff spot. The Kings announced that Doughty is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the start of the 2022-23 season.
The Kings have signed Francesco Pinelli to a three-year, entry-level contract.
The Kings drafted Pinelli in the second-round (No.42 overall) of the 2021 NHL Draft. Pinelli has scored 22 goals with 37 assists (59 points) in 54 games with the Kitchener Rangers (OHL) this season.
