Phoenix Copley is the expected starter Thursday vs. Calgary.

Copley stopped 24 of 25 shots (.960 SV%) as he picked up his fourth straight win in a victory over Anaheim in his last start. The 30-year-old Alaska native has taken the reigns on the Kings' starting job, with his 5-1-0 record, 2.43 GAA and .912 SV%. He will face the Calgary Flames, who are riding high and have won their last two games after a 7-3 victory over San Jose in their last game.

Copley will start Tuesday vs. the Ducks.

Copley stopped 23 of 25 shots (.920 SV%) for his fourth victory in five starts as he beat the San Jose Sharks his last time out. The 30-year-old has been solid in limited action, essentially taking the Kings' starting role over due to his 4-1-0 record, 2.71 GAA and .904 SV%. He will face Anaheim Tuesday, who have surprisingly won their last two games but also rank 30th in the NHL in goals per game (2.41).

David Rittich will start Tuesday vs. the Ottawa Senators.

Rittich stopped 31 of 34 shots (.912 SV%) as he picked up the loss vs. Seattle in his previous start Sunday. The Jets' backup has struggled this season, with his 4-3-0 record, 2.77 GAA and .896 SV%. He will take on Ottawa, who just snapped a four-game winning streak with a 4-2 loss vs. Minnesota in their last game.

Darcy Kuemper has been cleared to dress and will back up the Capitals on Monday (upper body).

Kuemper has missed the Capitals' previous seven games due to an upper-body injury but will return Monday as a backup. The 32-year-old was having a decent first season in Washington prior to the setback, with his 8-9-2 record, 2.56 GAA and .916 SV%.

Trevor Moore has been signed to a five-year contract extension with an AAV of $4,200,000.

Moore has seven goals, 18 points, 103 SOG, and a -4 plus/minus through 32 games this season and will now be signed with the Kings through the 2027-28 season after signing a five-year contract extension worth an AAV of $4,200,000.

Copley was the first goalie off of the ice at the Kings' morning skate.

Copley allowed six goals on 31 shorts (.806 SV%) in his worst start of the season, a loss vs. Buffalo his last time out. Despite his struggles Tuesday, Copley will take the crease for the third time in for Los Angeles games, as he has a 2-1-0 record, a .884 SV% and a 3.33 GAA. He gets arguably the toughest draw in the league in the Boston Bruins, who have won their last two games and are 2nd in the NHL in both goals per game (3.86) and shots (35.0).

Since being recalled last week from Ontario (AHL), Copley has been sensational, with a 2-0-0 record, .927 SV% and 2.00 GAA. He takes on the Buffalo Sabres, who are on a two-game losing streak but rank second in the NHL in goals per game (3.86).

Jordan Spence has been recalled from the Ontario Reign (AHL).

Spence has been recalled as a replacement for the injured Drew Doughty Monday. In 22 games with the Ontario Reign (AHL), he has two goals and 21 points with 18 PIMs and will be looking to make his season debut the next time the Kings take the ice.
