Tonight will be Darcy Kuemper's first start since December 19th. During his one-game AHL conditioning stint, Kuemper stopped 26 of 28 shots in a loss. Kuemper has gone 6-6-1 with a 2.39 GAA and .925 SV% on home ice this season and tonight he faces a Panthers team that is 3-7-1 while averaging 2.64 goals for and 3.82 goals against in their last 11 games.



Danault was forced to leave Monday's game after a shot deflected into his face but he was on the ice for today's morning skate and is expected to play against the Bruins. Danault has 10 points (2G / 8A) in his last 14 games.

Danault was forced to leave Monday's game with a mouth injury after a Tomas Tatar shot was deflected into his face. However, it doesn't look like Danault will miss any more time, so look for him to play tomorrow in Boston.

Kuemper was supposed to return to the Coyotes net on Monday but suffered an injury in the morning skate. There is no word on how long Kuemper is expected to be sidelined this time around but luckily Antti Raanta is ready to go in Montreal.

Kuemper has been out since December 19th with a lower-body injury but was a full participant in Sunday’s practice and could be back in the crease on Monday. Kuemper is a game-time decision so monitor his status if the Coyotes have a morning skate if not there should be an update on his status around 5:00 PM ET.

Ceci suffered an ankle injury on Wednesday and will miss at least one month. He'll go on IR and be re-evaluated at that time and the Maple Leafs will update his status again. In the meantime, Timothy Liljegren was recalled from the Marlies to take Ceci's spot on the roster.

Ceci is headed for injured reserve with an ankle injury that he suffered on Wednesday night. With Ceci out, Martin Marincin will likely draw into the lineup on Friday and Timothy Liljegren may be recalled from the AHL.


Doughty missed Monday's practice and Wednesday's optional morning skate, suggesting he won't be available for tonight's game vs. the Lightning. Derek Forbort is also unlikely to play, so look for Sean Walker and Alec Martinez to play massive minutes for the Kings.

Kuemper, who has missed the last 14 games, will miss Wednesday's game in Anaheim but head coach Rich Tocchet is encouraged by his progress. Tocchet said that the break "really helped with the rehab" and that Kuemper is nearing a return with each practice. Antti Raanta will continue to get the bulk of the starts but it looks like Kuemper will be back in the fold very soon.

Moore has been out since December 21st but is set to play Monday in Nashville. Moore, who had two points (1G / 1A) during his two-game conditioning stint with the Marlies, will be on the fourth line on Monday.


Armia has been out since December 23rd but was a full participant in Tuesday's practice and head coach Claude Julien said he's close to returning. Julien added that he's "very doubtful" for Wednesday which makes him at least questionable for Thursday's game in Philadelphia.
