Allen will start Saturday in San Jose.

Allen stopped all 28 shots that he faced in the Blues shutout win in Los Angeles on Thursday. It was an impressive outing for Allen, who will be making consecutive starts for the first time since Jan.3rd/5th. Allen has not faced the Sharks this season but has gone 10-7-3 with a 2.25 GAA, .925 SV% and three shutouts on the road.

Markstrom will start Saturday vs. the Golden Knights.

Markstrom allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Canucks overtime win over the Maple Leafs on Wednesday. Markstrom is 2-1-1 with an impressive 1.68 GAA, .954 SV% and one shutout in his last four outings but draws a terrible matchup on Saturday. The Golden Knights have not lost a game since adding Mark Stone to their team, going 5-0-0 while averaging 3.40 goals for per game.

Markstrom will start Wednesday vs. the Maple Leafs.

Markstrom allowed three goals on 48 shots in the Canucks loss in Vegas on Sunday. Markstrom has lost five of his last six starts (1-3-2) despite posting a song 2.33 GAA, .933 SV% and one shutout. Things won’t get any easier tonight vs. the Maple Leafs—Markstrom allowed five goals on 34 shots in a 5-0 loss in his first start against Toronto this season.

Hischier is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Hischier missed Monday’s practice with an upper-body injury that he suffered Saturday during the third period in Boston. Travis Zajac centred the Devils top-line and Blake Coleman slotted in as the second-line centre with Hischier missing. He is day-to-day and unlikely to play on Tuesday.
