Schneider will be in goal in Minnesota.

Schneider allowed three goals on 24 shots in the Devils loss to the Blue Jackets on Friday. Schneider was given Sunday night off, so this should be the first of three starts for Schneider this week. He draws a tough matchup against the Wild; but he played well in their first meeting—stopping 23 shots in a 3-1 win.

Varlamov left Sunday’s game with just over five minutes left in the third period. He will take part in the morning skate and then the Avalanche will make a decision on his status shortly after. Calvin Pickard has been recalled incase Varlamov cannot play.

Tonight he will take on a Blue Jackets team that banged him up in their last meeting—he allowed four goals on 27 shots in a 4-3 loss in January.

Drouin to take on a bigger role after Brett Connolly was traded.

Drouin was bumped up to the Lightning’s third line with Valtteri Filppula and Cedric Paquette in the morning skate. He will take on an increased role with Connolly out of town, which should lead to more production. Drouin has two goals and 24 assists (26 points) in 53 games.

Schneider stopped all 33 shots that he faced in the Devils 2-0 shutout win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. Schneider went 6-4-1 with a 1.57 GAA and .948 SV% in February. He will look to pick up where he left off to start March tonight vs. the Predators. Nashville has lost five of their last seven games while averaging 2.43 goals per game.

The Coyotes have acquired Anthony Duclair, John Moore, a 2016 1st round pick and a 2015 2nd round pick from the Rangers for Keith Yandle, Chris Summers and a 2015 4th round pick.

Duclair, 19, displayed incredible chemistry with Max Domi, who was the Coyotes first round pick in 2013, at this winter’s World Juniors. Duclair, who had seven points (1G / 6A) in 18 games with the Rangers earlier this season, has recorded nine goals and 16 assists (25 points) in 19 games since being sent back to the Quebec Remparts (QMJHL).

It has been an inconsistent month for Varlamov, ultimately resulting in a 5-6-0 record, 2.74 GAA and .904 SV% for the 26-year-old. Tonight he will face the Stars, who he is 3-0-0 with a 1.96 GAA and .938 SV% against this season.
