The Devils have had a weird schedule as of late and MacKenzie Blackwood has started the last three games, so Schneider will make his first start in over two weeks. Panik was forced to leave Wednesday’s game against the Maple Leafs after colliding heavily with teammate Jonas Siegenthaler. Immediately moving him to LTIR means it’s a fairly significant upper-body issue and means that he will miss at least 10 games or 24 days. Garnet Hathaway is expected to move up to the third line in Panik’s spot.
