Vaakanainen suffered a lower-body injury in the Ducks game vs. Arizona on January 28th and was placed on IR in advance of Monday's game in Dallas. Kevin Shattenkirk is expected to be back in the Ducks lineup to replace Vaakanainen.

Fitzgerald was a third-round pick in 2016 and has picked up three assists in 23 games with the Sabres this season. In total, he has nine assists in 59 career NHL games. Fitzgerald will likely replace Matt Kiersted to serve as the Panthers' No.7 defenseman.

Gavrikov has two goals, seven assists, 46 SOG, 24 PIMs and a -5 plus/minus through 39 games this season but will be forced to miss his first contest Tuesday with an upper-body injury. Adam Boqvist draws back into the lineup as a replacement for Gavrikov.
