Linus Ullmark will start Friday vs. New Jersey.

Ullmark stopped 36 of 39 shots (.923 SV%) as he beat the Florida Panthers in his previous start to add to his league lead in wins. The 29-year-old leads all Vezina Trophy voting as he leads the league in all major categories, with his 18-1-1 record, league-leading 1.89 GAA as well as leading .937 SV%. He will face the New Jersey Devils, who snapped a six-game losing skid with a 4-2 win over Florida in their last game.

Tim Stutzle will be a game-time decision Thursday vs. Washington (shoulder).

Stutzle has missed the Senators' previous four games as he's dealt with a shoulder injury and will be a game-time decision Thursday vs. the Capitals. If he does return, it will be a massive boost for Ottawa, as he has 10 goals, 17 assists, 67 SOG and 20 PIMs through 28 games played.

Artem Zub has signed a 4-year, $4.6 Million AAV extension with the Senators.

Zub has two goals, two assists, 10 PIMs, and 15 SOG while averaging 22:01 ATOI across 14 games played and will now be signed in the Nation's capital for four more years, at an average of $4.6 million per year. The 27-year-old has 11 goals, 29 assists, 96 PIMs and a +4 plus/minus across 142 career games played in three NHL seasons.

Dennis Gilbert has been placed on the injured reserve (undisclosed).

Gilbert left the Flames' previous contest Sunday after just 3:51 TOI after a spirited fight led to him leaving the game due to an undisclosed injury. It is a tough bounce for the 26-year-old, who was playing in his first game since Nov. 25th and only has one assist and five SOG through eight games this season.

Lars Eller will play Thursday after being a game-time decision (undisclosed).

Ellers has six goals, 12 points, 14 SOG and 20 PIMs through 30 games played but will play Thursday even though he deals with an undisclosed injury. If he is forced to miss time, the Capital's replacement will need to cover his 15:05 ATOI.

Olle Lycksell has been recalled from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (AHL).

Lycksell has been recalled to the big club for the second time this season after a short one-game showing earlier in the year. The 23-year-old has had a successful season with Lehigh (AHL) prior to the call-up, with five goals, 16 points and a -3 plus/minus through 16 games in the minors.

It seems good news for Tim Stutzle as it was announced Wednesday that the Senators' star would likely only miss a week due to a should strain that he had picked up in Tuesday's game. The 20-year-old was having a very solid third NHL season prior to the injury, with 10 goals, 27 points, 20 PIMs, 67 SOG and a -9 plus/minus through 28 games this season.

Jordan Spence has been recalled from the Ontario Reign (AHL).

Spence has been recalled as a replacement for the injured Drew Doughty Monday. In 22 games with the Ontario Reign (AHL), he has two goals and 21 points with 18 PIMs and will be looking to make his season debut the next time the Kings take the ice.

Ullmark stopped 24 of 25 shots (.960 SV%) to pick up his sixth consecutive win with a victory over Colorado in his last start. The 29-year-old is leading Vezina Trophy considerations due to him leading the NHL in SV% (.936), GAA (1.93) and Wins (14-1-0). He takes on the injured Colorado Avalanche, who have dropped three of their last four games average 1.33 GF in each of the losses.
