Corey Andonovski has been recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).

Andonovski had an assist, nine PIMs, and a +1 plus/minus in three games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) and has been recalled to Pittsburgh for the first time in his career. The 24-year-old undrafted right-winger has spent the better part of three seasons in the AHL since joining from Princeton University (NCAA) in 2021-22.

Alex Nedeljkovic (lower body) is day-to-day after he left practice early after injuring himself Tuesday vs. Dallas.

Nedeljkovic suffered a lower-body injury in Tuesday's matchup against the Dallas Stars but was able to finish the game. However, he was unable to complete practise with the Penguins on Wednesday. Nedeljkovic allowed four goals on 34 shots in a 4-1 loss to the Stars.

John Ludvig is day-to-day after being diagnosed with a concussion on Wednesday.

In his NHL debut on Tuesday, Ludvig made awkward contact with his head when delivering a hit a Dallas Stars' forward Radek Faksa. In a scary scene afterward, Ludvig spent several minutes with the trainers on the ice, regaining his composure. Last season with the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL, Ludvig had 17 points (3G / 14A) in 54 games.

Alex Nedeljkovic will start Tuesday vs. Dallas.

Nedeljkovic was sensational in his only start of the season as he stopped 34 of 36 shots (.944 SV%) in a victory over Calgary and will likely take the crease Tuesday after being the first goalie off the ice. The 27-year-old signed with Pittsburgh during the offseason and will look to add to his 43-38-15 career record with his .907 SV% and 2.95 GAA. He takes on the Dallas Stars, who have collected points in all four games this season (3-0-1) but are 21st in the NHL in goals per game (2.75).

John Ludvig is expected to make his NHL debut vs. Dallas.

It appears John Ludvig will make his NHL debut for the Penguins on Tuesday against the Dallas Stars. Ludvig was the 69th overall pick of the Florida Panthers in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Last season with the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL, Ludvig had 17 points (3G / 14A) in 54 games. He will likely play next to Ryan Shea on the Penguins' third defensive pairing.

Cody Glass will be out 7-10 days with a lower-body injury.

Glass left the Predators' previous game vs. NYR early after just three shifts and 1:46 toI due to a lower-body injury and will now be out 7-10 days. The 24-year-old centre had yet to pick up a point this season in five games played, but has nine SOG and two PIMs. He is coming off a career campaign in 2022-23, where he had 14 goals, 21 assists, 20 PIMs and a +9 plus/minus in 72 games.

Noel Acciari (upper body) is expected to be available Saturday vs. St. Louis.

Acciari will be available to suit up on Saturday after not participating in practice for the Penguins on Thursday because of an upper-body injury. If Acciari draws into the lineup, he will likely center the fourth line with Matthew Nieto and Jeff Carter. He has zero points, five blocks, eight hits, and a -1 plus/minus rating through four games.

Letting did not participate in the Penguins' practice Thursday after being evaluated for a lower-body injury but did participate Friday and considers himself a game-time decision Saturday vs. St. Louis. The 36-year-old defensemen is in his 18th season with the Penguins and has three assists, six SOG, two PIMs and a +3 plus/minus in four games played so far in 2023-24.

Noel Acciari is day-to-day with an upper-body injury and is being evaluated.

Acciari missed the Penguins' morning skate Thursday as he was being evaluated for an upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day until Pittsburgh releases more information. The 31-year-old bruising winger was signed to a three-year, $6 million contract ($2,000,000 AAV) during the offseason and has yet to pick up a point through four games in 2023-24.

Kris Letang is day-to-day with a lower-body injury pending evaluations.

Letting did not participate in the Penguins' practice Thursday and is being evaluated for a lower-body injury. The 36-year-old defensemen is in his 18th season with the Penguins and has three assists, six SOG, two PIMs and a +3 plus/minus in four games played so far in 2023-24. Pittsburgh should be releasing more information on the injuries in the upcoming day or two.

Tristan Jarry will start Wednesday vs. Detroit.

Jarry will get his third start of the season for the Penguins who, after losing their season opener, have convincingly won two games in a row, outscoring their opposition 9-2. In Jarry's two games so far (1-1-0), he has a terrific 1.53 GAA and .944 SV%. Tonight, Jarry and the Penguins (-122 road favourites) face off against the Detroit Red Wings, who are also off to a hot start as well, outscoring opponents 13-8 in their first three games (2-1-0). Though the Red Wings have an improved offence this season, Jarry posted a .950 SV% and 1.01 GAA in his only meeting against them last season.

Pittsburgh has acquired Karel Plasek and Jack Rathbone from Vancouver for Ty Glover and Mark Friedman

Plasek had six goals, nine assists, and 10 PIMs across 31 games played on loan with HC Olomouc (Czachia) in 2022-23 and has been dealt to Pittsburgh alongside Jack Rathbone for Ty Glover and Mark Friedman Tuesday. The 23-year-old left-winger was Vancouvers' 2019 sixth-round pick (175th overall) and has yet to make his NHL debut.

Emil Bemstrom will be aback in the Blue Jackets' lineup Monday vs. Detroit.

Bemstrom is expected to play in his second game of the season after being scratched by the Blue Jackets on Saturday. He recorded two shots on goal in 14:27 time-on-ice in his only game of the season. The 24-year-old had a career-high 22 points (7G / 15A) in 55 games last season.

This summer he signed with Penguins, where he'll serve as Tristan Jarry's backup. He had a strong pre-season but is far from the goalie we saw in 2021 when he posted a 1.90 GAA and .932 SV%. Nedeljkovic has a sub-par matchup vs. the Flames and should probably be left on the waiver wire until he has a better matchup.
