The 31-year-old has struggled yet again this season after a horrendous 2021-22, with his current 3-5-1 record, 3.30 GAA and .882 SV%. He will take on Calgary, who is coming off a 2-1 loss Tuesday to Edmonton and is fifth in the NHL in shots on goal per game (34.7).

The Kraken have claimed Eeli Tolvanen off of waivers from the Predators.

Tolvanen has two goals and two assists (four points) in 13 games with the Predators this season. Since being selected No.30 overall in 2017, Tolvanen has picked up 51 points (25G / 26A) in 135 career NHL games. To make room for Tolvanen, the Kraken waived Karson Kuhlman.

Jaden Schwartz will be out Friday as Seattle takes on Washington (undisclosed).

There was a small shot Schwartz would dress Friday vs. Washington but after missing the Kraken's morning skate it was announced he is day-to-day and would miss the game. The 30-year-old has been enjoying a bounce-back season with eight goals, 15 points, eight PIMS and 54 SOG through 25 games this season.

Philipp Grubauer will start Friday vs. Washington.

Grubauer allowed five goals on 28 shots (.821 SV%) as he snapped a two-game winning streak with a loss to Florida in his previous start. Grubauer will look to improve on a horrendous start to the season as he has a 2-2-1 record, .868 SV% and 3.4 GAA. He takes on the Washington Capitals, who will be hoping to stay in the win column for a third game after beating Philadelphia 4-1 in their last contest.

Ben Meyers has been recalled from the Colorado Eagles (AHL).

Meyers had a goal and two SOG while never eclipsing more than 10:00 TOI in his original three-game stint with the Avalanche to begin this season. Since being reassigned to the Colorado Eagles (AHL), the 24-year-old had a goal and five points with six PIMs but now finds himself back up with the big club.

Shane Wright will draw back into the Kraken's lineup Tuesday vs. Montreal.

Wright had four goals in his last five games with the Coachella Firebirds (AHL) and will make his way back into Seattle's lineup after being recalled Monday. The 2022, 1st round pick (4th overall) has one assist and only one SOG through seven games played earlier in the year with the Kraken and will be hoping to improve on his 8:06 ATOI.

Murray will start Tuesday in Dallas.

Murray allowed four goals on 33 shots (.879 SV%) in an overtime loss to Tampa Bay in his previous start. Murray has been enjoying a bounce-back season in his first year in Toronto, posting a 5-1-2 record with a .921 SV% and 2.63 GAA. He draws the tough task that is the Dallas Stars, who are 2nd in the NHL in goals per game averaging 3.92 per game.
