The Canadiens signed Gustav Olofsson to a one-year, two-way contract.
Olofsson spent most of the 2019-20 season in the AHL, where he racked up 16 points (1G / 15A) in 57 games with Laval. He failed to record a point in three games with Montreal. The 25-year-old blueliner has 11 assists in 59 career NHL games with the Wild and Canadiens.
The Sabres signed Brandon Biro to a two-year entry-level contract on March 18th.
Biro was an undrafted free agent who just finished up his senior year at Penn State University, where he had 25 points (10G / 15A) in 25 games. Biro will likely join Rochester (AHL) when the NHL and AHL return to play, whether it be for the 2020 or 2021 season.

Head coach Jared Bednar expects him to miss a few more games, so don't expect to see him Friday in Vancouver or Sunday in San Jose. Vladislav Namestnikov will remain on the top line with Burakovsky out.
