Loof has been reassigned to Springfield (AHL).

Loof was the third-round pick, 88th overall, of the St. Louis Blues in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 22-year-old Loof has one point (0G / 1A) in 11 games with the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL) this season. In a corresponding move, the Blues recalled Corey Schueneman from the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL).

Schueneman is an undrafted 29-year-old defenseman with 31 games of NHL experience but has not played since a seven-game stint with the Montreal Canadiens in the 2022-23 season. Predominantly an AHL player, Schueneman has five points (1G / 4A) in 13 games with the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL) this season. In a corresponding move, the Blues have reassigned Leo Loof to Springfield.

Binnington will start in Buffalo on Thursday.

The Blues have lost three straight, outscored 15-5, and will turn to Binnington between the pipes on Thursday against the Buffalo Sabres. The 31-year-old Binnington has an ugly 3.26 GAA and .887 SV% in 12 games this season (4-7-1). The Blues enter the action on Thursday as +146 road underdogs against a Sabres club coming off a 7-5 loss to the Montreal Canadiens that will be without Tage Thompson and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen due to injuries.

Despite allowing eight goals on 27 shots (.704 SV%) in the Blues' previous game, an 8-1 loss to the Washington Capitals, Binnington will return to the crease on Tuesday against the Boston Bruins. Skewed significantly from his previous outing, Binnington is sporting an ugly 3.28 GAA and .886 SV% through 11 games this season (4-6-0). The Blues enter the action on Tuesday as +151 home underdogs against a Bruins club with a -12 goal differential through 16 games this season (7-7-2).

Joseph (upper-body) appears ready to return on Tuesday vs. Boston.

Joseph has not played since October 26th, missing six games with an upper-body injury, but will likely return to the lineup on Tuesday. The 27-year-old Joseph, in his first season with the Blues, has four points (2G / 2A), five blocks, and 13 hits in nine games.

A scary incident in Tuesday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning resulted in Holloway being wheeled off in a stretcher after taking a puck to the throat area. All tests proved negative and thankfully, for Holloway and the Blues, he will return to the lineup on Thursday against the Utah Hockey Club.

The Blues, riding a two-game winning streak, will turn to Hofer between the pipes on Thursday for only his second start since October 19th. The 24-year-old Hofer has been inconsistent in his limited action this season, recording an impressive 34-save shutout but only managing a 3.39 GAA and .903 SV% through four games (3-1-0). The Blues enter the action on Thursday as slight +102 home underdogs against Utah HC, fresh off a 3-0 loss to the Winnipeg Jets.

Holloway (upper-body) is hopeful to play on Thursday vs. Utah.

Holloway was struck in the neck by a shot in the first period of Tuesday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. He was able to finish his shift but was attended to on the Blues' bench and eventually stretchered to the locker room. Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli reported Holloway was then taken to the hospital for a precautionary scan.
