The Canucks have signed Jake DeBrusk to a seven-year deal worth $38.5 million ($5.5M AAV).

Elias Petterson may have found his winger of the future as Vancouver signed left-winger Jake DeBrusk to a seven-year deal worth $38.5 million ($5.5M AAV). The 27-year-old had spent his first seven seasons in Boston and had 19 goals and 40 points in 80 games played in 2023-24.

Vancouver has signed Jett Woo to a one-year, two-way contract extension.

Woo has been a staple of the Abbotsford Canucks (AHL) for the last four seasons and will remain in Vancouver's organization after signing a one-year, two-way contract on Monday. The 23-year-old was the Canucks 2018 2nd-round pick (37th overall) and had seven goals and 31 points in 62 games with Abbotsford last season.

Vancouver has signed Tyler Myers to a three-year, $9 million ($3,000,000 AAV) contract extension.

Myers finished a five-year contract that carried a $6.0M AAV cap-hit and signs a three-year extension at half the cap-hit. In 2023-24, Myers had his highest point total (29) since 2019 and had 100-plus blocked shots and hits for then second time in his 15-year career. Next season he should continue to be a top-4 option and among the team-leaders in PK/TOI.

Vancouver has re-signed Teddy Blueger to a two-year, $3.6 million contract extension ($1,800,000 AAV).

Blueger appeared in 68 games for the Canucks in 2023-24, tying his career-best with 28 points (6G / 22A). He found chemistry on the third line with Conor Garland and Dakota Joshua, so expect him to fill a similar bottom-6 role and an important penalty killer next season.

The Canucks signed Linus Karlsson to a one-year, two-way contract.

Karlsson had an extremely successful 2023-24 with the Abbotsford Canucks (AHL) picking up 23 goals and 60 points in 60 games played and has signed a one-year, two-way contract to remain with Vancouver. The 24-year-old made his NHL debut last season, appearing in four games but failing to pick up a point.

Linus Karlsson
Kane (undisclosed) is undecided on whether he will be able to suit up for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Thursday.

Head Coach Kris Knoblauch said Edmonton is undecided on whether Kane will play in Game 3 after he missed the majority of the Oilers' practice on Wednesday. The 32-year-old is clearly battling injuries as he has been unable to sit while on the bench and only has one point in his previous nine games played.

Kane (undisclosed) did not practice on Monday before Game 2 but has stated he will play.

Kane did not participate in the Oilers' morning skate on Monday ahead of Game 2 which led to some speculation that he may not dress but he has come out himself and stated "I will play". The 32-year-old bruising winger has been battling an undisclosed injury as of late which has led to him only producing one point in his previous eight playoff appearances.

Chytil is expected to draw back into New York's lineup for Game 5 on Thursday vs. Florida.

Chytil was a healthy scratch for New York's Game 4 loss but will return to the lineup on Thursday for Game 5 and is immediately expected to take a spot on the Rangers' top line. The 24-year-old is expected to replace Blake Wheeler who will get the night off after returning from a long injury last game. Chytil has been held pointless in four playoff games played so far, with five SOG and two PIMs.

Chytil has appeared in one game (May 9th vs. CAR) since November 2nd, 2023 due to concussion problems and an illness but was a full participant in warmups ahead of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference final on Wednesday vs. Florida and will return. The 24-year-old only appeared in 10 games during the regular season but had six assists, 22 SOG and four PIMs. He will line up on New York's third line.

Boeser (blood clotting) will be out for Game 7 on Monday vs. Edmonton and is out indefinitely.

It was announced out of the blue on Sunday that Brock Boeser would miss the remainder of the 2023-24 postseason due to blood clots in his leg and is out indefinitely as he deals with the fluky ailment. The 27-year-old was having a sensational playoffs for Vancouver after a 40 goal, 73 point regular season as he had seven goals, five assists, and 27 SOG in 12 games played. The Canucks host Edmonton for Game 7 on Monday.

Brock Boeser
Demko (undisclosed) will remain out for Game 5 but has "improved immensely".

Demko has not played since Game 1 vs. Nashville of Vancouver's opening-round series but has "improved immensely" and is expected back shortly. The 28-year-old's return will be a warm welcome after he led Vancouver all season with his 35-14-2 record, 2.45 GAA and .918 SV%.

Hoglander is expected to draw back into Vancouver's morning skate for Game 5 on Thursday.

Hoglander has been a healthy scratch for Vancouver's previous two games but is expected to draw back into the lineup for Ilya Mikheyev on Thursday for Game 5. The 23-year-old has vastly underperformed in the playoffs after scoring 24 goals in the regular season, with one assist, four SOG, two PIMs and a -2 plus/minus in eight games played.
