Hill was pulled after allowing two goals on five shots (.600 SV%) just 12:26 into his previous start vs. Anaheim. The Golden Knights backup will be hoping to bounce back and improve on his 8-3-1 record, 2.78 GAA and .899 SV%. He will take on the Pittsburgh Penguins, who will be looking to snap their current five-game skid after a 2-1 loss vs. Boston in the Winter Classic last game.

Jack Eichel is on track to return to the Golden Knights lineup Thursday (lower body).

Eichel has not played since Dec. 9th due to a lower-body injury but was skating at Vegas' practice Wednesday and is expected to rejoin their lineup Thursday centring the second line. Eichel was having a strong season prior to the injury, with 13 goals, 16 assists, 100 SOG and a +17 plus/minus through 27 games.

Jonas Rondbjerg has been reassigned to the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL).

Rondbjerg failed to pick up a point while getting six SOG, four PIMs and a -5 plus/minus rating across nine games with the Golden Knights but has been reassigned to Henderson (AHL). Prior to his promotion previously he had eight goals, seven assists, and a +6 plus/minus through 23 games with the Silver Knights.

Jonas Rondbjerg
Samsonov was the first goalie off of the ice at the Maple Leafs morning skate.

Samsonov allowed four goals on 34 shots (.882 SV%) but still managed to pick up his seventh win in eight starts with a victory over St. Louis his last time out. The 25-year-old has been enjoying a resurgent first season in Toronto, with his 11-3-0 record, 2.20 GAA and .920 SV%. He will face one of the streakiest teams in the NHL in the St. Louis Blues, who have lost four of their last give after a 5-2 loss to Minnesota last game.

Kaedan Korczak has been recalled from Henderson (AHL) and will be in the lineup Monday.

Korczak had two goals, six assists, 18 PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 30 games with the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL) but has been recalled for the first time to Vegas Monday. He will draw into the lineup Monday for the second time in his career after 1 game played in 2021-22.

The Golden Knights' backup has been solid this season but struggled as of late, yet still has an 8-3-1 record, .903 SV% and 2.66. GAA. He draws the Anaheim Ducks, who are losers of three straight and are 31st in the NHL in goals per game (2.31).

He draws the Philadelphia Flyers for a matinee showdown, who is 30th in the NHL in goals per game (2.48).
