Morgan Barron will miss 4-5 weeks after undergoing wrist surgery.

Head coach Rick Bowness announced Thursday that Morgan Barron will be out at least 4-5 weeks after undergoing wrist surgery. The 23-year-old has played well to start the season, collecting four points (1G/3A) and 15 SOG through nine games.

Hellebuyck will start Thursday vs. the Canadiens.

Hellebuyck was the hard-lucked losing goalie his last time out, stopping 46 of 48 shots (.958 SV%) in a 3-2 overtime loss to Vegas. He has been exceptional this season, holding a 4-2-1 record while posting a .931 SV% and 2.41 GAA. He faces off against the Montreal Canadiens who are coming off a 4-1 loss to the Wild and rank 26th in goals per game (2.8).

Eric Comrie will start Wednesday vs. Pittsburgh

Comrie stopped 15 of 18 shots (.833 SV%) his last time out in a win over Detroit. He has been up and down this year as he has taken on the starter's role in Buffalo's crease, collecting a .902 SV% and 3.34 GAA to go along with a 3-3-0 record. He faces off against a tough but tired Pittsburgh team who is coming off a hard-fought 6-5 shootout loss just yesterday.

Comrie stopped 15 of 18 shots (.833 SV%) his last time out in a win over Detroit. He has been up and down this year as he has taken on the starter's role in Buffalo's crease, collecting a .902 SV% and 3.34 GAA to go along with a 3-3-0 record. He faces off against a tough, but tired Pittsburgh team who is coming off a hard-fought 6-5 shootout loss just yesterday.

Logan Stanley has a slight fracture in his foot and will miss a couple of weeks.

The Winnipeg Jets announced Tuesday that defenseman Logan Stanley will miss the next couple of weeks due to a slight fracture in his foot. The towering 24-year-old had no points and six PIMs in his first five games this season while playing 14:48 TOI.

Comrie will take the crease after losing his last start 3-2 off a 31-save (.912 SV%) performance vs. Montreal. He will attempt to improve his ugly 3.41 GAA and build off his .909 SV% through five games. Comrie takes on the Red Wings Monday, who have struggled to score lately, as they have not put up more than two goals in any of their last three games.

Kaapo Kahkonen will start Tuesday vs. Anaheim

Kahkonen is coming off his first victory of the season, stopping 22 of 25 shots (.880 SV%) as the Sharks took a 4-3 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs his last time out. The Finnish netminder has struggled this season, posting a 3.33 GAA and a .875 SV% across four games played. Kahkonen will face a Ducks team who just snapped a seven-game losing streak Sunday in a 4-3 overtime win over Toronto Sunday.

His Sabres will host Montreal Thursday who is fresh off a 3-1 loss and ranks 28th in the NHL in GF/GP with 2.43.

Kahkonen had his best start of the season his last time out stopping 34 of 36 shots (.944) in a loss to New Jersey. He has struggled this season, losing all his starts (0-3-0) while posting a 3.46 GAA and a .873 SV%. He faces a Maple Leafs team that has struggled to get going so far offensively, ranking 25th in the NHL in GF (2.71).
