Landeskog has not played in an NHL game since the 2021-22 season, but appeared in two AHL games during a conditioning loan this month. The Avalanche did not confirm that he would play, but he is an option to replace Ross Colton if Colton is unable to go.

Thompson has not played since April 2nd, recovering from an upper-body injury, but has practiced the last several days. He was the first goalie off the ice at Washington's morning skate on Monday, typically indicating the starting goalie. The 28-year-old Thompson had an outstanding 2024-25 campaign, his first with the Capitals, posting a 2.49 GAA and .910 SV% in 43 games (31-6-6). That said, he struggled in the latter half of the season, posting a 3.22 GAA and .877 SV% in his final 13 appearances (7-4-2). The Capitals enter Game One against the Montreal Canadiens as -179 home favorites.
Andersen went 13-8-1 with a 2.50 GAA, .899 SV% and one shutout in 22 games this season, but struggled mightily down the stretch. In his final four games of the season, the veteran netminder was 0-3-1 with a 4.91 GAA and .813 SV%. During the 2023-24 postseason, Andersen backstopped the Hurricanes to a 6-4 record with a 2.62 GAA and .895 SV%.
Cousins played in the final three games of the regular season but will be scratched in Game 1 vs. Toronto, with Matthew Highmore taking his spot on the fourth-line.
Highmore was a healthy scratch for the Senators' season finale but is expected to replace Nick Cousins on the Senators' fourth line on Saturday. HIghmore had just six points (2G / 4A) in 41 games this season, but was used frequently on the penalty kill (1:22 SH TOI/gm).
McCabe missed the final seven games of the regular season, but will play in Game 1 vs. Ottawa. McCabe finished the season with two goals and 21 assists (23 points) in 66 games.
Ekman-Larsson missed the final four games of the regular season but is expected to be in the lineup when the Maple Leafs open their series vs. Ottawa. Ekman-Larsson finished the 2024-25 season with 29 points (4G / 25A) in 77 games.
