Kassian, who was traded in the preseason to Montreal, never played a game with the Habs. After being acquired by the Oilers, he collected one goal in four games with the Bakersfield Condors. He is a big body presence and could work his way up the lineup, but expect him to start in the bottom-6 on Thursday.
Dauphin, 20, has five goals and five assists (10 points) in 30 games with Springfield this season. He has never been recalled, but could be in line to make his NHL debut this week.

He has been sent to St. John's where he will work on his game after not playing for the first two and a half months of the season. Kassian will need to improve at the AHL level before the Habs call him back up.

Kassian was in a car accident at 6 a.m on Sunday morning and fractured his leg and nose in the incident. Kassian will be suspended without pay until he’s cleared to play agains by the program’s administrators.
Kassian’s injury were reportedly “minor” on Sunday, but this afternoon the Canadiens revealed the injuries were more serious and will force him to miss time. Kassian has a bad reputation after underachieving in Buffalo and Vancouver but he was given a fresh start in Montreal, that has not gotten off on the right foot.
Kassian was “all bloodied up and stuff. He was in a daze,” a witness told the Montreal Gazette after the accident. Kassian, who was acquired from the Canucks this summer, should be considered day-to-day.
Nemeth, 23, missed a significant amount of time in 2014-15 after suffering a gruesome laceration to his arm in October. He was expected to miss the remainder of the season, but returned to Dallas in early March and finished the season with three assists in 22 games. The 2010 second-round pick is expected to compete for a full-time spot on the Stars blue line in 2015-16.
Ladd played through a sports hernia in the first round loss against the Ducks. He will see a specialist and might opt for surgery. He said the injury limited his explosiveness on skates, but was not a major issue.
Little battled through rib dislocation in round 1 vs. Anaheim. Little said he wasn’t 100% healthy, but it was nothing “major to deal with.” Little had two goals and one assist in four playoff games.
Little has just one assist in five games since returning to the lineup on March 31st and will sit out because he could be little banged up still. With the Jets securely into the playoffs, they have the luxury to sit players like Little.
Ladd would have had the chance to play every game this season, but he will be given the afternoon off with the Jets locked into the playoffs.
