Korpisalo will man the Senators' crease for a fourth-straight start after dropping their previous contest after allowing three goals on 38 shots (.921 SV%) but will likely start Saturday vs. Tampa Bay. The 29-year-old signed a five-year contract in the offseason and has struggled early with his 2-4-0 record, .906 SV% and 3.19 GAA. He takes on the Tampa Bay Lightning Saturday, who have lost their last two contests but are ninth in the NHL in goals per game (3.4).

Mark Kastelic (undisclosed) is day-to-day and expected to miss the next few games.

Kastelic left Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Kings after suffering an undisclosed injury. In nine games, Kastelic has been held without a point while racking up 21 penalty minutes and eight hits. He is expected to miss the next few games.

Jeremy Swayman will start Thursday vs. Toronto.

Swayman returns to the Bruins' crease after backing up last game and will look to keep his four-game win streak in tact vs. Toronto. The 24-year-old has been sensational yet again this season, with his 4-0-0 record, .957 SV% and 1.26 GAA. He draws Toronto at home Thursday, who is looking to snap a two-game losing streak and are 13th in the NHL in goals per game (3.22).

Parker Wotherspoon will make his season debut Thursday vs. Toronto.

Wotherspoon was recalled Wednesday after putting up an assist, six PIMs, and a -1 plus/minus in six games with Providence (AHL) and will make his Boston Bruins debut Thursday vs. Toronto. The 26-year-old defensemen signed a one-year, $775,000 deal with Boston in the offseason and has an assist, 10 SOG, four PIMs and a +5 plus/minus in 12 career games played after debuting in 2022-23 with the New York Islanders.

Parker Wotherspoon has been recalled from Providence (AHL).

Wotherspoon was recalled along with Mason Lohrei and Ian Mitchell to give the Bruins options on their blueline as they will be without Charlie McAvoy (suspension) and Matt Grzelcyk (upper body). Wotherspoon was a fourth-round pick of the New York Islanders in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and played his first 12 NHL games with the Islanders last season, recording one point (0G / 1A) four penalty minutes, and a +5 plus/minus rating.

Ian Mitchell has been recalled from Providence (AHL).

Mitchell was recalled along with Mason Lohrei and Parker Wotherspoon to aid a Bruins' blueline that is currently without Charlie McAvoy (suspension) and Matt Grzelcyk (upper body). Mitchell was the 57th overall pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft and already had a two-game stint with the Bruins earlier this season, recording one point (0G / 1A) and four penalty minutes.

Mason Lohrei has been recalled from Providence (AHL).

Lohrei is likely to make his NHL debut on Thursday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Lohrei was one of three defensemen recalled by Boston from Providence (AHL), along with Ian Mitchell and Parker Wotherspoon, as they will be without regulars Matt Grzelcyk (upper-body) and Charlie McAvoy (suspension). Lohrei was the Bruins' 58th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft and has four points (0G / 4A) in seven games at the AHL level this season.

NHL Player Safety announced McAvoy has been suspended for four games for an illegal check to the head on Oliver Ekman-Larsson.

The hit occurred in the third period of Monday's game against the Panthers. McAvoy received a match penalty on the play and was ejected from the game. It's the second suspension of McAvoy's after he was previously suspended one game for an illegal hit to the head on then Columbus Blue Jackets forward Josh Anderson in Game Six of the 2019 Eastern Conference Semi-finals. He will be eligible to return on October 11th in Montreal.

Riley Tufte is expected to make his Avalanche debut Wednesday vs. St. Louis.

After a terrific start to the AHL season with the Colorado Eagles, recording eight points (6G / 2A) in six games, Tufte has been recalled by the Avalanche. Tufte has only played 13 games in his NHL career, all with the Dallas Stars, in which he has recorded one point (1G / 0A). He is expected to make his Avalanche debut on Wednesday playing on a line with Ryan Johansen and Valeri Nichushkin.

After a terrific start to the AHL season with the Colorado Eagles, recording eight points (6G / 2A) in six games, Tufte has been recalled by the Avalanche. Tufte has only played 13 games in his NHL career, all with the Dallas Stars, in which he has recorded one point (1G / 0A).

Swayman stopped all 23 shots that he faced in the Bruins' shutout win in Chicago on Tuesday. Swayman and Linus Ullmark have alternated starts to begin the season and tonight Swayman will face a Red Wings team that got off to a quick start but have dropped their last two games (1-0-1).

Patrick Brown has been reassigned to Providence (AHL).

Brown failed to pick up a point in four games with Boston but had three SOG, two PIMs, and a -2 plus/minus and has been reassigned to Providence (AHL) on Friday. The 31-year-old was signed to a one-year, $800,000 contract in the offseason and returns to the minors for the first time since he captained the Henderson Silver Knights back in 2020-21.
