It was an excellent outing for Smith, who has now stopped 71 of the last 75 shots (.947 SV%) that he has faced in his last three starts. Tonight the Flames will dos the Sharks at the Scotiabank Saddledome where Smith is 7-7-0 with a 3.11 GAA and .896 SV% this season.

The Ducks were unable to provide an update on Perry’s status postgame but they can’t seem to get out of their own way. The Ducks just got Ryan Getzlaf back yesterday and they played just 3:49 TOI together before Perry exited the game. Expect an update on Perry’s status prior to Thursday’s game in St. Louis.

In his first start against the Flyers, Smith allowed four goals on 39 shots in a 5-4 OT win in mid-November. He is a must-start against a Philadelphia team that has lost 10 straight games (0-5-5).
Smith stopped all 28 shots that he faced in the Flames shutout win over the Coyotes on Thursday. You had to expect a great performance out of the Smith against the team he spent over half a decade with and he delivered with his 12th win and second shutout on the young campaign. Tonight will be his second battle of Alberta and he was great in the first meeting, stopping 42 of 44 shots in a 3-0 shutout loss on opening night.
Murray was set to miss his third straight game tonight and the Blue Jackets moved him to IR in order to make room to activate Matt Clavert (upper-body).
