The Predators signed Grigals to a two-year contract on Friday.

It is a two-way contract with a cap hit of $0.775M at the NHL level. Grigals spent most of this season playing with the Atlanta Gladiators of the AHL before making one appearance with Nashville's AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals. He posted a 12-9-2 record and a .924 SV% in his final year of NCAA hockey with the University of Massachusetts Lowell in the 2022-23 season.

Nashville has signed Mark Jankowski to a two-year, $3.2 million contract extension.

Jankowski has only appeared in 14 games with the Predators this season but has signed a two-year, $3.2 million contract extension on Friday. The 29-year-old is in his seventh NHL season and has 44 goals and 95 points in 336 games played in his career.

Nashville has signed Dante Fabbro to a one-year, $2.5 million contract extension.

Fabbro was set to become a RFA at the end of this season but will remain with Nashville as he signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract extension on Friday. The 25-year-old is having a solid fifth season with the Predators, with two goals, 12 points, 58 SOG, 22 PIMs and a +11 plus/minus through 51 games played.

The Predators have acquired Wade Allison from the Flyers for Denis Gurianov.

Allison played 60 games with the Philadelphia Flyers last season, tallying 15 points (6G / 9A), but has spent the entirety of the 2023-24 campaign in the AHL. The 26-year-old Allison has 17 points (10G / 17A) in 46 games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms this season.

Saros will start against the Sabres on Thursday.

Saros will be right back between the pipes for the Predators on Thursday after seeing his personal six-game winning streak come to an end on Tuesday. Saros allowed four goals on 30 shots as the Predators fell to the Canadiens 4-3 in overtime. After a shaky start to the season, Saros' recent run of form has seen his record improve to 26-21-3 on the year to go along with a respectable .907 SV%. He's got a great chance of getting back in the win column on Thursday as the Predators are -165 favourites over the Sabres.

The Predators have acquired Jeremy Hanzel and a 2025 third-round pick from the Avalanche for akov Trenin and Graham Sward.

The Colorado Avalanche signed Hanzel to an entry-level contract on Thursday morning before dealing him to the Predators in the afternoon. Hanzel was the sixth-round pick of the Avalanche in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. As a 21-year-old, Hanzel has 50 points (13G / 37A) in 58 games with the Seattle Thunderbirds (WHL) this season.

Chrona will start on Thursday vs. the Islanders.

Chrona will return to the crease for the second time in the last four games. The 23-year-old netminder was outstanding in his last outing, albeit a 3-2 losing effort in a shootout, saving 36 of 38 shots (.947 SV%) against the Dallas Stars. That said, the Sharks are sizeable +229 home underdogs against a New York Islanders club riding a four-game winning streak.

After a crushing 9-2 loss to the Dallas Stars on February 15th, the red-hot Predators have rolled off eight straight wins and will turn to Saros between the pipes on Tuesday night. Saros has allowed six total goals across his last five games and saved 25 of 26 shots (.962 SV%) in an impressive 5-1 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday. The Predators are significant -208 home favourites against the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday.

In 51 games this season, Novak has 34 points (13G / 21A) while most recently playing on a line with Mark Jankowski and Luke Evangelista.

Roest was the sixth-round pick (175th overall) in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft and has earned himself a three-year, entry-level contract. The 20-year-old has 59 points (31G / 28A) in 54 games with the Everett Silvertips of the AHL.
