Ullmark (back) has a chance to return on Ottawa's current home stand.

Ullmark has not played since December 22nd, missing 16 games with a back injury, but appears to be nearing a return to action. After a rough start to his tenure in Ottawa, the 31-year-old Ullmark was finally starting to play to his potential before his injury, posting an exquisite .954 SV% in nine games (8-0-1).

Sanderson (lower-body) is not on the ice for warmups and is not expected to play in Boston on Thursday.

Sanderson was a surprise scratch on Thursday, with the team not announcing his injury prior to warmups. We should expect to receive an update on his status ahead of Ottawa's game against the Maple Leafs on Saturday.

Jake Sanderson
Forsberg will start in Boston on Thursday.

The Senators will give Forsberg the nod between the pipes for the 16th time this season when they travel to Boston on Thursday. Forsberg appeared in relief of Leevi Merilainen on Tuesday, allowing three goals on 13 shots in a 5-0 loss to the Rangers. Forsberg owns a disappointing 5-8-1 record and an .884 SV% on the season. Having said that, he's a good bet to get back in the win column on Thursday as the Senators enter action at -160 on the money line.

Merilainen will start in New York on Tuesday.

The Senators have been on fire lately, collecting points in six straight games (5-0-1), partly due to the excellent goaltending of Merilainen, who will return to the crease on Tuesday against the New York Rangers. The 22-year-old Merilainen had his first off-night of the season but still salvaged a 6-5 overtime victory over the Boston Bruins in his most recent outing, saving 23 of 28 shots (.821 SV%). He has a 2.20 GAA and .917 SV% in nine games this season (6-2-1). The Senators enter Tuesday's contest as +112 road underdogs against a Rangers squad that defeated them 2-1 in their only other meeting this season.
