McCann has missed the last three games with an undisclosed injury but is expected to play Saturday in Washington. In addition to McCann, the Kraken will also add Jaden Schwartz (hand) into the top-6. McCann has scored a career-high 21 goals with 12 assists (33 points) in 48 games this season.
Schwartz has not played since December 29th due to a hand injury but is expected to be back in the lineup in Washington. Schwartz has tallied six goals with 14 assists (20 points) in 29 games this season.
Kartye was an undrafted free agent out of the OHL, who has scored 33 goals with 25 assists (58 points) in 45 games with the Soo Greyhounds.
Gourde was not on the ice for Thursday's morning skate and will be a game-time decision vs. the Bruins. The Kraken will already be without Jared McCann (upper-body), who was moved to IR. So the Kraken could be very thin down the middle against a very good Bruins squad.
This move came after the morning skate, so it appears as if McCann suffered an injury during the morning session. Kole Lind was recalled from the AHL to take McCann's spot on the roster. Expect a more detailed injury report in the next 24 hours.
Biro was an undrafted free agent out of Penn State University, who has scored nine goals with 27 assists (36 points) in 39 AHL games this season. He's expected to make his NHL debut on the Sabres' third line because Kyle Okposo is dealing with an illness.
Kempny will play for the first time since January 26th, replacing Justin Schultz, who is out with an upper-body injury. Kempny has one assist in seven games with the Capitals.
Oleksiak has missed the last nine games with a lower-body injury but will play Friday in Anaheim. Oleksiak has scored one goal with 10 assists (11 points) in 37 games this season.
