Toronto has placed David Kampf on waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract.
After refusing to play with the Marlies in the AHL, Toronto has terminated Kampf's contract in hopes he can resume his career with a new team at the NHL level. The 30-year-old Czech forward has been an effective bottom-six player over the course of his career, with 143 points (48G / 95A) in 536 career games.
Demko (groin) is expected to miss the next 2-3 weeks.
Demko has battled a myriad of injuries over the previous several seasons and will be sidelined once again. The positive news is this injury is not related to the injury that kept him out of games this past weekend, nor the injury that sidelined him for half of the 2024-25 season.
