Eichel missed the Golden Knights' previous game due to a lower-body injury and was placed on the injured reserve Monday retroactive to Friday, meaning he will be out for at least the next two games. The 26-year-old was on pace to have his best season to date, with 13 goals, 29 points, 100 SOG and a +17 plus/minus through 27 games played prior to the injury.

The Golden Knights backup has been solid this season with a 6-2-1 record, 2.55 GAA and .908 SV%. He faces the Philadelphia Flyers, who have dropped three of their last four games after a 4-1 loss to Washington on Wednesday.
