Akira Schmid will start Game 4 on Monday vs. the New York Rangers.

Schmid was sensational in Game 3, stopping 35 of 36 shots (.972 SV%) in his first career NHL playoff appearance as he led the Devils to a 2-1 overtime victory. The 22-year-old rookie has been sensational when called upon by the Devils all season, as he had a 9-5-2 record, 2.13 GAA and .922 SV% during the regular season. He takes on the New York Rangers, who ended the regular season 12th in the NHL in goals per game (3.33) and have scored 11 goals in three games in this opening series.

Samsonov allowed six goals on 29 shots (.793 SV%) for one of his toughest losses of the season as he was downed by Tampa Bay in Game 1. The 26-year-old had a great first regular season in Toronto, with his 27-10-5 record, .919 SV% and 2.33 GAA. He will be hoping for better results in Game 2 against the Lightning, who finished the regular season eighth in the NHL in goals per game (3.41).

Samsonov closed out his impressive inaugural season with the Maple Leafs with a 27-10-5 record, .919 SV% and 2.33 GAA and is the expected starter for Game 1 vs. Tampa Bay. The 26-year-old brings in eight games of NHL playoff experience, where he is 1-6-0 with a 2.98 GAA and .907 SV%. He will take on the Tampa Bay Lightning, who rounded out the year with a 46-30-6 record and were eighth in the NHL in goals per game (3.41).

Stone has been out since January 12th due to a back injury and has been activated off the long-term injured reserve and is expected to play Tuesday vs. Winnipeg. The 30-year-old finished his 2022-23 regular season with 17 goals, 38 points, 113 SOG, 10 PIMs and a +11 plus/minus through 43 games prior to the injury.

Akira Schmid has been recalled from the Binghamton Devils (AHL) and is on the Devils' active roster.

Schmid was 11-7-4 with a .905 SV% and 2.62 GAA with the Utica Comets (AHL) and has been recalled and placed on the Devils' active roster Thursday. The 22-year-old returns to New Jersey, where he has been incredibly successful in previous callups, with his 8-5-2 record, 2.24 GAA and .918 SV%.

Theodore (undisclosed) will be back in the Golden Knights lineup on Thursday.

Theodore has been out since March 28th due to an undisclosed injury but will draw back into the Golden Knights' lineup Thursday vs. Seattle. The 27-year-old has eight goals, 33 assists, 134 SOG, 18 PIMs and a +17 plus/minus through 54 games played this season prior to his injury.

Eichel will be back in the Golden Knights lineup on Thursday (lower-body).

Eichel has missed the Golden Knights' previous two games due to a lower-body injury but will return to the lineup Thursday vs. Seattle. The 26-year-old has 27 goals, 38 assists, 221 SOG, four PIMs and a +25 plus/minus through 66 games before his injury.
