Cotter was issued a game misconduct for an illegal check to the head of Adam Pelech and has been suspended for New Jersey's final two games of the regular season. The 25-year-old Cotter is averaging 13:05 time-on-ice and has 22 points (16G / 6A) in 79 games this season.
