Rutta has not played since January 23rd due to a lower-body injury but will return on Friday against the Edmonton Oilers. Before his injury, the 34-year-old Rutta was averaging 16:57 time-on-ice and has eight points (2G / 6A) in 51 games this season.

Middleton (upper-body) will be a game-time decision in Calgary on Friday.

Middleton missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, but could draw back into the lineup on Friday in Calgary. Middleton has been great in banger leagues this season, posting 20 points (8G / 12A) to go along with 1.4 SOG, 1.5 hits and 2.4 BS per game.

Draisaitl will remain out on Friday vs. San Jose but will play before the end of the regular season.

Draisatil will miss a fourth consecutive game, and seventh in his last 10, due to an undisclosed injury. It's unclear if his current ailment is related to the injury that kept him out of the lineup for three games in March but he is expected to return before the playoffs. The 29-year-old Draisaitl has 106 points (52G / 54A) in 71 games this season.
