Bains is expected to make his NHL debut on Tuesday vs. Colorado.

Bains was recalled last week by Vancouver and could make his NHL debut on Tuesday against the Colorado Avalanche. The undrafted 23-year-old has enjoyed an impressive season in the AHL, scoring 39 points (9G / 30A) in 42 games with the Abbotsford Canucks.

Dakota Mermis will draw into the lineup on Tuesday, making Merrill the odd man out for the first time since January 25th. Merrill recorded an assist, two shots, and one hit while playing 11:32 time-on-ice in Minnesota's thrilling 10-7 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Monday.

Mermis had been a regular in the lineup for six weeks before being a healthy scratch in the last two games. The 30-year-old Mermis has seven points (2G / 5A) in 37 games this season while primarily playing on a defensive pair with Jon Merrill, who will draw out of the lineup in favour of Mermis on Tuesday.

Bear is expected to draw back into Washington's lineup on Tuesday vs. New Jersey.

Bear played four straight games for the Capitals before being a healthy scratch on Saturday but will return to the lineup on Tuesday night. In his last four games, Bear has zero points, one shot, and five hits while averaging less than 14 minutes of time-on-ice.

Heiskanen did not play Monday afternoon to be with his wife for the birth of their child but will return to the lineup on Tuesday against the New York Rangers.
