

With Jake Allen getting hurt on Wednesday, Primeau returns to the NHL where he will likely serve as Samuel Montembeault's backup on Thursday. Primeau has gone 8-6-1 with a 2.77 GAA and .912 SV% in 16 AHL games this season.

With Tuukka Rask signing a one-year deal on Tuesday, Swayman will head to the AHL for the time being. Swayman has gone 8-6-2 with a 2.26 GAA and .918 SV% in 16 games with the Bruins this season. The last time he was in the AHL, he was 8-1-0 with a 1.89 GAA and .933 SV%.

Fucale was yanked after allowing four goals on 16 shots in the Capitals loss to the Bruins on Monday. It was the first time Fucale has struggled in his brief NHL career but was quickly reassigned to Hershey on Tuesday. He is 6-2-2 with a 2.73 GAA and .889 SV% in 10 AHL games this season.

Quinn was the No.8 overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft and could make his NHL debut on Tuesday. Quinn was on the ice for Monday's practice, skating with Dylan Cozens and Vinnie Hinostroza. The 20-year-old winger has 12 goals and 14 assists (26 points) in 20 AHL games this season.

Zamula has picked up three goals and 11 assists (14 points) in 25 AHL games this season and is expected to make his season debut on Thursday. Zamula will replace Travis Sanheim, who was placed on the COVID-19 protocol list.

Travis Konecny was moved to the COVID-19 protocol list on Wednesday and it looks like Bunnaman will take his spot in the lineup on Thursday. Bunnaman, who has six points (4G / 2A) in 24 AHL games this season, will likely be promoted to the active roster later today.

Reedy leads the Barracuda in goals (14) and points (23) in 23 AHL games this season. This will be Reedy's third career NHL game.

Slavin, who has one assist in 10 games with the Blackhawks this season, will be replaced by Mackenzie Entwistle on the active roster.

Entwistle and Josiah Slavin have swapped places, so expect Entwistle to draw into the lineup on Tuesday. The 22-year-old has three goals and two assists (five points) in 16 games with Chicago this season.

Boldy was the No.12 overall pick in 2019 and has had a nice start to his AHL season. After posing 18 points (6G / 12A) in 14 games last year, Boldy has 10 points (4G / 6A) in 10 games with Iowa this season. He is expected to make his NHL debut on Thursday.

Rossi was the No.9 overall pick in 2020 and has been outstanding in his professional season. The 20-year-old has scored seven goals with 16 assists (23 points) in 21 games with Iowa this season. Rossi is expected to make his NHL debut on Thursday.

With Elvis Merzlikins dealing with lower-body discomfort, Berube is expected to back up Joonas Korpisalo on Tuesday. Berube has gone 4-4-3 with a 2.82 GAA and .912 SV% in 11 AHL games this season.


Konovalov will backup Mikko Koskinen on Saturday with Mike Smith listed as day-to-day.

With Vinnie Hinostroza returning from the COVID-19 protocol list on Saturday, Ruotsalainen heads back to Rochester, where he has two assists in six games.

Peterka failed to record a point in two games with the Sabres but did not look out of place at the NHL level. His stay was never expected to be a long one, so he gets sent back to the AHL to clear the way for Jeff Skinner to return from the COVID-19 protocol list.



Jacob Bryson was added to the COVID-19 protocol list this morning, so he'll suit up for his second straight game on Wednesday. Fitzgerald had one assist and two shots on goal in 16:42 TOI in Pittsburgh on December 17th.
