Dallas has traded Jaromir Jagr to the Boston Bruins in exchange for Lane MacDermid, Cody Payne and a conditional second round pick.

The Bruins failed to get a 500-goal scorer in Jarome Iginla but they have added a 679-goal scorer in Jagr. He brings veteran leadership with the ability to score even at the age of 41. He has 14 goals and 12 assists in 34 games this season. Jagr will definitely help the Bruins 24th ranked power-play.

DAL trades Derek Roy to VAN for Kevin Connauton and a 2nd round pick.

The Canucks were desperately seeking another centre with Ryan Kesler out with a broken foot. Roy has four goals and 18 assists in 30 games with the Stars this season. He should continue to be a solid fantasy player with his new team.

Bergeron to Carolina for A. Hall and a 2013 7th round pick. #tradecentre

Bergeron has only appeared in 12 games this season and scored just one goal and four assists. The 32-year-old defenseman posted 24 points in only 43 games last season. He is good on the power-play because he has a heavy shot, which should help the Hurricanes who rank last in the NHL in PP%. He should see plenty of PP time, which should increase his production and subsequently his fantasy value.

Bouwmeester to the Blues for STL's 1st round pick, d-man Mark Cundari and goalie Reto Berra.

Bouwmeester is signed through next season with a $6.6 million cap-hit each season. He has six goals and nine assists in 33 games this season. He has been a solid fantasy commodity throughout the years and should hold more value on a strong Blues defense corp than he did in Calgary. With the addition of Jordan Leopold recently expect Bouwmeester to play with either Alex Pietrangelo or Kevin Shattenkirk.

BUF trades D Jordan Leopold to STL for a second round draft pick and a conditional fifth round draft pick.

Leopold has two goals, six assists and a minus-6 in 24 games this season. Leopold is a solid defenseman who can contribute on the offensive end. He put up 24 points in 79 games last season. Moving to a better team should increase his fantasy value, however he is still a low-end fantasy option.

#Coyotes have acquired forward Tobias Rieder from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for forward Kale Kessy.

Kessy (20, 6'3" - 196 lbs.) had 19 goals and 21 assists in 58 games as a member of both the Vancouver Giants and now the Kamloops Blazers this season.

GM Steve Yzerman indicated the Lightning are not going to trade Martin St. Louis

"Marty St. Louis is not going to be traded," Steve Yzerman told ESPN.com on Friday. "He remains one of the best players in the league and an extremely important player to our team, both on and off the ice. We are a team in transition, we just made a coaching change, Marty is one of the leaders of the team, he is not going anywhere."

Calgary Flames have traded captain Jarome Iginla to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for NCAA prospects Kenneth Agostino, Ben Hankowski and 2013 first-round pick.

Initial were reports had Iginla going to the Bruins, but the deal was not finalized. The Penguins have now added Iginla, Brenden Morrow, and Douglas Murray prior to the deadline.

The Penguins have acquired defenseman Douglas Murray from the Sharks in exchange for two 2nd round picks.

The Penguins appear to be loading up for a Stanley Cup run. The got Brenden Morrow yesterday and now another big gritty player in Murray today. Murray (6'4" - 240 lbs.) is a great hitter but he is not offensive, making him irrelevant in fantasy.
