The Avalanche have acquired Brock Nelson and William Dufour from the Islanders for Calum Ritchie, Oliver Kylington, a 1st round pick in 2026 or 2027, and a conditional 2028 3rd Round Pick.

After being rumored in a trade all season, Nelson has been dealt to the Colorado Avalanche. The 33-year-old Nelson averaged 19:21 time-on-ice and scored 43 points (20G / 23A) in 61 games this season. He scored 20 or more goals in nine of his 12 seasons in New York and will provide some much needed depth down the middle for Colorado. Nelson will likely suit up on Colorado's second line with Valeri Nichushkin and Jonathan Drouin.

The Rangers acquired Soucy from the Canucks on Thursday in exchange for a 2025 third-round draft pick.

With the emergence of Elias Nils Pettersson on the Canucks blue-line this season, Soucy was deemed to be an expendable asset by Vancouver. Soucy leaves the Canucks after appearing in 99 games across parts of two seasons, registering five goals and 11 assists.

The Jets have acquired Chris Driedger from the Panthers for Kaapo Kahkonen.

Driedger has struggled at the AHL level this season and will be hoping for better results with a change of scenery, likely reporting to the Manitoba Moose (AHL). The 30-year-old Driedger has a 2.97 GAA and .878 SV% in 20 games with Charlotte (AHL) this season (10-6-4).

The Rangers have acquired Brendan Brisson and a 2025 3rd Round Pick from the Golden Knights for Reilly Smith.

Brisson was a first-round pick, 29th overall, of the Golden Knights in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 23-year-old forward played nine games with the Golden Knights this season but has spent most of the 2024-25 campaign in the AHL, tallying 19 points (5G / 14A) in 45 games with the Henderson Silver Knights.

The Golden Knights have acquired Reilly Smith from the Rangers for Brendan Brisson and a 2025 3rd Round Pick.

Smith was held out of the Rangers lineup for their previous few games as they anticipated trading the impending UFA, a move that came to fruition on Thursday, sending him to his former club, the Golden Knights. The 33-year-old Smith averaged 15:36 time-on-ice and scored 29 points (10G / 19A) in 58 games with the Rangers this season.

The Panthers have acquired Nico Sturm and a 2027 7th Round Pick from the Sharks for a 2026 4th Round Pick.

The acquisition of Sturm will add some depth to the Panthers' bottom-six forward group. The 29-year-old Sturm averaged 10:08 time-on-ice and scored 13 points (7G / 6A) in 47 games with the Sharks this season.

The Ducks have acquired Herman Traff and a 2025 conditional 2nd Round Pick from the Devils for Brian Dumoulin.

Traff was a third-round pick, 91st overall, of the Devils in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. The 19-year-old forward has yet to play and NHL game. He scored seven points (3G / 4A) in 25 games with HV7a Jonkoping (SweHL) this season.

The Devils have acquired Brian Dumoulin from the Ducks for Herman Traff and a 2025 conditional 2nd Round Pick.

Dumoulin will add some defensive depth and Stanley Cup pedigree to the Devils blueline. The 33-year-old defenseman averaged 19:48 time-on-ice and scored 16 points (2G / 14A) through 61 games with the Ducks this season.

The Penguins have acquired Luke Schenn and Tommy Novak from the Predators for Michael Bunting and a 2026 4th Round Pick.

Assuming he isn't flipped elsewhere ahead of Friday's Trade Deadline, the Penguins will become the ninth team Schenn has suited up for across his remarkable 17-year-career. The Predators signed Schenn to a three-year contract with an AAV of $2.75-million ahead of the 2023-24 season. The 35-year-old defenceman leaves Nashville after registering two goals, ten assists, 152 blocked shots and 430 hits across 124 games.

The Penguins have acquired Tommy Novak and Luke Schenn from the Predators for Michael Bunting and a 2026 4th Round Pick.

The Penguins will be hoping the 27-year-old Novak will be able to regain the form he flashed in the 2022-23 season, when he scored 17 goals and added 26 assists in just 51 regular season games. Novak leaves Nashville after amassing 117 points with the franchise across 201 career games.

The Sharks acquired Desharnais from the Penguins on Wednesday in exchange for a 2028 fifth-round draft pick.

Desharnais leaves the Penguins after playing just ten games for the franchise. He was acquired from the Canucks just last month in the trade that sent Marcus Pettersson to Vancouver. The 28-year-old Desharnais has zero goals and three assists in 44 games this season.
