Dostal will start vs. Vancouver on Thursday.

The Ducks have narrowly lost their previous two games, falling by a single goal in both contests and will hope for a better result on Thursday, rolling with Dostal between the pipes against the Vancouver Canucks. The 24-year-old Dostal played well in his most recent outing but did not receive ample goal support, saving 34 of 37 shots (.919 SV%) in a 3-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres. He has a 2.93 GAA and .910 SV% in 35 games this season (16-14-5). The Ducks enter the action on Thursday as +116 home underdogs against a Canucks squad that defeated the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 last night.

Mrazek is in the starter's crease at Chicago's morning skate.

The struggling Blackhawks have lost four straight and will likely turn to Mrazek between the pipes on Thursday against the Vegas Golden Knights. Mrazek allowed five goals on 21 shots (.762 SV%) in his most recent outing, a 5-1 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Czech netminder has an ugly 4.17 GAA and .873 SV% in his last 15 appearances (3-10-1). The Blackhawks enter the action on Thursday as significant +334 road underdogs against a Golden Knights squad they defeated 5-3 on January 18th.

Colangelo has been recalled from San Diego (AHL).

Colangelo was the 36th overall pick of the Ducks in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 23-year-old forward played 12 games with the Ducks earlier this season, scoring one goal, but has spent most of the 2024-25 campaign in the AHL, tallying 35 points (19G / 16A) in 38 games with the San Diego Gulls.

Kreider (upper-body) will not play on Long Island on Tuesday.

Kreider aggravated an upper-body injury in Saturday's 8-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres and will miss a second consecutive game on Tuesday against the New York Islanders. The 33-year-old Kreider is averaging 17:14 time-on-ice and has 21 points (17G / 4A) through 48 games this season.

Dostal will start in Buffalo on Tuesday.

With John Gibson (upper-body) unavailable, the Ducks will turn to Dostal between the pipes for the 32nd time this season. Dostal was busy his last time out, allowing five goals on 36 shots in a 5-4 overtime loss in Detroit on Sunday. The loss snapped a personal five-game winning streak for the 24-year-old netminder. Dostal will have to be at his best if he wants to get back in the win column on Tuesday as the Ducks enter action at +160 on the money line.

The Ducks acquired Husso from the Red Wings on Monday in exchange for future considerations.

Husso's disappointing three-year spell in Detroit comes to unceremonious end as the Red Wings opted to clear him off their cap sheet in exchange for future considerations. Husso compiled a 36-32-11 record and an .892 SV% across parts of three seasons in Detroit, and was ultimately the odd-man out in a Red Wings crease that includes Cam Talbot and Alex Lyon. He provides organizational depth at the position for the Ducks, who are currently without the services of John Gibson (upper-body).

Poehling (upper-body) is available to return on Saturday vs. Edmonton.

Poehling has not played since January 16th, missing 11 games with an upper-body injury, but will be available to return to the lineup on Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers. The 26-year-old Poehling is averaging 13:18 time-on-ice and has 15 points (4G / 11A) in 43 games this season.

The 34-year-old bruiser is expected to play on Saturday vs. Buffalo and should slot back into Anaheim's top pairing. Through 53 games in 2024-25, he has a goal, 12 points, a +1 plus/minus and 62 PIMS.
