Blumel has been recalled from Providence (AHL).

Blumel signed with the Bruins in the offseason, hoping he would have a shot of making the team's opening-night roster, but has has spend the first six weeks of the season in the AHL. With a myriad of injuries for the Bruins, Blumel could finally get his chance to suit up for Boston. The 25-year-old has 13 points (2G / 11A) in 13 games with Providence (AHL) this season.

Riding an impressive season-best seven-game winning streak, the Bruins will turn to Korpisalo on Thursday against his former team, the Ottawa Senators. Korpisalo was solid between the pipes against the Senators last week, saving 20 of 22 shots (.909 SV%) in a 3-2 overtime victory. The 31-year-old goalie has a 3.24 GAA and .885 SV% in seven games this season (4-3-0). After losing seven of eight (1-7-0), the Bruins have responded in a big way and are currently among the hottest teams in the NHL, riding a six-game winning streak. The 26-year-old Swayman is showcasing a pedestrian 3.09 GAA and .898 SV% in 10 games (6-4-0), but has played much better lately, recording a solid 2.30 GAA and .926 SV% during a three-game winning streak. Still, the Bruins enter Tuesday's contest as +123 home underdogs against a Toronto Maple Leafs team that they defeated 5-3 on Saturday.

McAvoy (personal) was back at practice on Monday and is expected to play Tuesday vs. TOR.

McAvoy did not play in Boston's most recent game, but he will likely return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 27-year-old McAvoy is off to a great start this season, scoring 12 points (0G / 12A) in 16 games. He has six assists during a five-game winning streak for the Bruins.

Mittelstadt did not play on Sunday, tending to an upper-body injury, and will be sidelined week-to-week. The 26-year-old Mittelstadt was off to a decent start in Boston this season, scoring nine points (4G / 5A) in 15 games. With Elias Lindholm (lower body) also out week-to-week, expect to see an uptick in playing time and prime deployment for Pavel Zacha and Marat Khusnutdinov.
