Vladar is in the starter's crease at Calgary's morning skate.

After starting the season on a 5-0-1 run, the Flames have lost two consecutive games in regulation and will turn to Vladar between the pipes. The 27-year-old Vladar has been serviceable this season, allowing three or fewer goals in three of four outings (2-1-1), posting a respectable 2.73 GAA and .904 SV%. The Flames enter the action on Monday as +149 road underdogs against a Vegas Golden Knights club averaging a league-best 4.7 goals per game through nine games this season (6-2-1).

Coronato has been assigned to the Calgary Wranglers (AHL).

Coronato already has two goals in five games this season after only scoring three in 34 games last season. That said, the 21-year-old Coronato, the Flames' 13th overall pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, has been reassigned to the Calgary Wranglers (AHL), where he spent most of the 2023-24 campaign, tallying 42 points (15G / 27A) in 41 games.

Rooney (concusion) is expected to return on Thursday vs. Carolina.

Adam Klapka will be a healthy scratch on Thursday, allowing Rooney to return to action for the first time since suffering a concussion in the first game of the season. Last season, Rooney played 33 games with the Flames, tallying four points (3G / 1A), 29 blocks, and 65 hits

The Flames enter the action on Thursday as +172 home underdogs against a Hurricanes club that scored three unanswered goals to defeat the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 in overtime on Tuesday.

The surprising Flames, one of only four teams with a regulation loss early in the 2024-25 season (4-0-1), will continue their goalie rotation on Tuesday and turn to Wolf between the pipes against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 23-year-old Wolf has been excellent in two showings this season (2-0-0), boosting a stellar 2.02 GAA and .944 SV%. The Flames enter the action on Tuesday as slight -114 home favorites against a Penguins club that has been outscored 10-4 in their last two games (0-2-0).

Honzek is week-to-week with an upper-body injury.

Rookie Samuel Honzek is battling an upper-body injury and will be out of the Flames' lineup on a week-to-week basis. The 19-year-old Slovak was the 16th overall pick of the Flames in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. In four games this season, Honzek has zero points, six shots, and four hits while averaging 12:47 time-on-ice.

Barrie is expected to be a healthy scratch on Tuesday vs. Chicago.

Tyson Barrie struggled in his season debut with three giveaways in 14:38 time-on-ice and will return to the press box as a healthy scratch in favor of Jake Bean. The 33-year-old Barrie had 15 points (1G / 14A) and a -10 plus/minus in 41 games with the Nashville Predators last season.

Tyson Barrie will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday, allowing Bean to return to the lineup for his third game of the season. The 26-year-old Bean has two points (0G / 2A), a +1 plus/minus, and two shots on goal in two games this season.

Wolf will start Tuesday vs. the Blackhawks.

Four games into the regular season, the Flames have evenly alternated between netminders and will turn to Wolf on Tuesday against the Chicago Blackhawks for his second start. Wolf was stellar in his first outing, saving 37 of 40 shots (.925 SV%) in a 6-3 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. Before this season, Wolf was sporting an 8-7-1 with a 3.03 GAA and .896 SV% in 18 career games. The Flames enter Tuesday's contest as -148 home favorites against the Blackhawks.

Barrie will make his Flames' debut on Sunday in Edmonton.

Barrie did not appear in any of the Flames opening two wins to start the season but will make his debut on Sunday against his old squad in Edmonton. The 33-year-old defenseman signed a one-year, $1.25 million contract after a successful PTO stint in training camp. He had a goal, 15 points and 16 PIMs in 41 games with Nashville in 2023-24.

Bean will be a healthy scratch on Sunday in Edmonton.

Bean had two assists through Calgary's first two games but surprisngly will head to the press box as a healthy scratch for Tyson Barrie on Sunday in Edmonton. Bean signed a one-year, two-way contract in the offseason after three seasons in Calgary.
