Kochetkov is in the starter's crease at Carolina's morning skate.

The Hurricanes have won nine of their last 10 (9-1-0) and will likely turn to Kochetkov between the pipes on Tuesday against the Nashville Predators. Kochetkov struggled in his previous outing, allowing seven goals on 25 shots (.720 SV%) in a 7-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings. The 25-year-old goalie has a 2.49 GAA and .902 SV% in 41 appearances this season (25-12-3). San Jose has signed Noah Beck to a one-year, entry-level contact starting in 2025-26.

Beck was a seventh-round pick, 194th overall, of the St. Louis Blues in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 24-year-old defenseman has spent the previous five seasons playing collegiate hockey, most recently scoring 33 points (5G / 28A) in 37 games with Arizona State University (NCHC).

Norris has battled injuries the past few seasons, a trend that unfortunately has followed him to his new club, the Buffalo Sabres. Still, Norris has indicated that he will return to the ice this season. The 25-year-old Norris was acquired by the Sabres three weeks ago in a trade that sent Dylan Cozens to the Ottawa Senators. Norris has been productive early in his tenure with Buffalo, recording two points (1G / 1A) and averaging 18:36 time-on-ice but has only played three games.

Stolarz is expected to start vs. Philadelphia on Tuesday.

Stolarz has only started one of the previous four games but will likely return to the crease on Tuesday against the Philadelphia Flyers. The 31-year-old Stolarz was serviceable in his most recent outing, saving 27 of 30 shots (.900 SV%) in a 4-3 win over the New York Rangers. He has a solid 2.42 GAA and .918 SV% in 27 games this season (14-8-3) but has a less impressive 3.44 GAA and .876 SV% in his last five appearances (1-3-0). Murray played three games with the Sabres this season but has spent most of the 2024-25 campaign in the AHL. The 26-year-old forward has 40 points (23G / 17A) in 55 games with the Rochester Americans (AHL) this season. In a corresponding move, the Sabres recalled Isak Rosen from Rochester.
